The suspect pictured to the left TRIED to use a credit card stolen from a woman's purse. He TRIED to buy $2800 worth of gift cards, but the bank caught on and denied all transactions. The victim lost some cash, but was likely grateful that the bank caught the credit card transactions.

The two women pictured here shoplifted clothes from the Kohl's department store at 11331 Midlothian Tnpk.  Security tried to stop them, but they drove away in a silver Lexus.

In all fairness...the license plate appears to be either a dealer tag or a temporary tag.

The two suspects pictured to the left were involved in the theft of two bicycles from the Kohl's at 2701 W.Hundred Road (Chester.  The bikes were very unique.  One was a Black-Eye model, blue in color.

This guy TRIED to use a stolen credit card to purchase three large gift cards from Sheetz.  Thankfully, an attentive clerk and store manager knew something was wrong and didn't allow the transaction.  The suspect GRABBED the stolen card and walked out.

09-29-2012 - Money Order Man

The older man pictured here took a $500 Western Union money order from the Falling Creek 7-Eleven.  It was accidentally left on the counter by a customer, and when that customer returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

10-26-2012 - A Would-be Shoplifter

The young man pictured to the left attempted to steal video games and CDs. When security stopped him, he gave back the items, but then RAN from the store.

10-11-2012 - Illegal Shopping Spree

The female pictured to the left used ANOTHER person's credit card on a shopping spree.  The card was stolen while the victim as at the Aquatic Center (Route 10 near Chippenham Pkwy).

10-16-2012 - Larceny from Vehicle

Police are searching for the suspect pictured to the left who stole credit cards and other property from a vehicle that was located in the 5600 block of Yellowleaf drive between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on October 16, 2012.

The suspect used the victim's credit card at a gas station located in the 2400 block of West Hundred Road. He left the scene driving a dark colored sedan.

Sept. 2012 - Caught at Kohl's.

Dec. 13, 2010 - Alcohol theft

Going back though some photo files, we found this case still unsolved. These two pictured worked together to steal alcohol from the ABC store, 11108 Midlothian Turnpike.  These pictures are EXCELLENT, and someone out there knows who these two are!

Apr. 2 and 5, 2012 - Vending Machine Break-ins

It has happened AGAIN!?! A white male  and female pair (different from the two listed in Crime of the Week 1450) has broken into vending machines at Holiday Inn-Koger Center.  The pictures are excellent.  Please take note, the female suspect was wearing a sweatshirt with "Tigger" stamped on the back.

Mar. 3, 2012 - Larceny from Walmart

Between Wednesday, February 22, 2012 to Saturday, February 25, 2012 three suspects stole approximately 101 assorted video games (Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox) from the Wal-Mart located at 12000 Iron Bridge Plaza. The suspects in this incident are seen removing the games from the display case, and placing the games in a nearby aisle. The suspects later returned with a plastic tote in a shopping cart, and are seen placing all the games into the tote. One of the suspects is later seen pushing the cart out of the store, bypassing the greeters at the exit/entrance. Video surveillance cameras were able to catch a photo of one of the suspects as he entered the store, and as he left with the stolen items. The other suspects in this incident are described as a white female, brown hair last seen wearing a striped shirt, gray jacket, ripped jeans and gloves. The third suspect is only described as a white male.
 

Mar. 13, 2012 - Larceny from Cici's Pizza

On the evening of Saturday, March 10 at approximately 5:00 p.m., two vending machines within Cici's Pizza located at 4900 Commonwealth Center Parkway had been broken into and money taken from them. Video surveillance inside of the game area shows a white male and white female committing the crime. Several hundreds of dollars in quarters were taken from the machines.

Jan. 16, 2012 - Shoplifting from Kroger

The suspect pictured to the left was caught on video sureillance carrying meats and other items out of the Kroger, 2801 Hicks Road.  He was seen getting into a white Chevrolet van, being driven by another black male.

Feb. 29, 2012 - Credit Card Theft

On 2/29/12 a suspect entered the YMCA on Coalfield Rd., entered the locker room, stole the victim's wallet and then used the credit cards at a number of businesses in the area. The same suspect is believed to be involved in a simular incident, at the YMCA located  on Hull Street Road on the same day. In this incident the suspect stole the victims car keys from the locker room, went into the victims car, and stole his wallet with various charge cards in it. The stolen credit were then attempted to be used by the suspect, at the Food Lion located at Hull Street Road and Walmsley Blvd.

Jan. 22, 2012 - Grand Larceny

On Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at about 2:39 p.m. a male suspect can be seen stealing a computer from the Hyatt Place located at 13148 Kingston Avenue.  The suspect is captured on video with a towel draped over the computer, and exiting the hotel through a side door.  The suspect is described as a white or light skinned Hispanic male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a medium to average build, and weighed approximately 180 lbs.

Nov. 9, 2011 - Larceny/ Brandishing Firearm

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 at about 4:00 p.m. a black male shoplifted from the Dollar General located at 7218 Hull Street Road, in the 360 West Shopping Center.  The suspect is believed to have shoplifted T-shirts from this location.  The suspect was confronted by a manager as the suspect left the store, and at this time is when the suspect lifted his shirt exposing a handgun; which was tucked in his waistband.  The suspect was last seen walking away from the store to the parking lot.  It is believed the suspect is driving a 4 door Chrysler or Chevrolet, white in color, and has a Virginia license plate.
 

 
Dec. 31, 2011 - Larceny from vehicle/Fraud

Between 11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 to 1:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, an unknown person stole a purse with various items in it from a vehicle in the parking lot of the TGI Friday's located at 10301 Midlothian Turnpike.  A female suspect was later seen by security cameras using the victims credit/debit cards at various locations throughout the Richmond area.  The female suspect was successful in making numerous fraudulent charges to the victims credit/debit cards.

Oct. 11, 2011 - Cigarette Theft

On October 11, at the Walgreens, 11119 Hull Street Rd., this male subject asked for several cartons of cigarettes.  When they were handed to him, he ran from the store.  Can you help us identify him?

August 22, 2011 - Larceny
 

On Thursday, August 18 at approximately 7:20 p.m. a vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the Davis Auto Sales after closing.  While there, two men exited the vehicle and approached the business.  They were later seen stealing vehicle rims from the business.  The suspects loaded the rims into a pickup, which looked to be a white Nissan Frontier.  The first suspect looked to be a white male, bald with a goatee, stocky, and tall.  The second suspect looked to be a white male with glasses, medium build, and medium length hair.   

August 16, 2011 - Larceny

On Tuesday, August 16 at about 5:30 p.m. a white male shoplifted from the Virginia ABC Store located at 9949 Hull Street Road, in the Oxbridge Shopping Center.  The suspect is believed to have shoplifted from this location on several different occasions.  The item being stolen by the suspect is ICE 101 Peppermint Liquor.  The suspect is concealing the bottles in his pants and fleeing the store.  It is believed the suspect is driving a newer model work style van with a Virginia plate.

July 27, 2011 - Breaking and Entering

On Wednesday, July 27 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. a home in the 4400 block of Oxbridge Road was broken into.  The suspect pried open a side door to gain entry into the home.  The suspect managed to steal several thousands of dollars of jewelry from the residence.  The suspect was captured on video by a "nanny cam" committing the crime.

June 10, 2011 - Larceny from Auto

On Friday, June 10, 2011 at about 9:25 p.m. a Hispanic female stole property from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Target located at 2530 Weir Road.  The female suspect was seen by security cameras committing the crime.  The female suspect was accompanied by a Hispanic male.  The suspect in this case was also possibly seen driving a green late 80's to early 90's 4 door Honda Civic.

February 25, 2011 - Credit Card Fraud

On Feb. 25, 2011, a victim lost their charge cards in an unknown location.  An unknown black female at the following locations subsequently used the cards fraudulently: HH Gregg, Best Buy, and Outback Steak House.  The location of all the businesses where the crimes took place was all in the Huguenot Road/Chesterfield Towne Center Area.  Charges to the victim’s charge cards totaled more than $3,000.00.   

January 16, 2011 - Attempt Break-in on College Park Ave.

On January 16, the suspect pictured to the left was caught on camera attempting to break into a home on College Park Avenue in Chesterfield County.  The suspect did not get inside, but if we don't catch him...he may take another opportunity at someone else's home.

October 25, 2010 - Credit Card Fraud

A victim was checking her bank account electronically and learned that her account had been overdrawn.  It was determined that her bank card was used fraudulently at numerous businesses in the area, including three in Chesterfield.  The woman pictured to the left was using the card at Walmart, 900 Walmart Way, on Oct. 25, 2010.  Can you help identify her?

December 22, 2010 - Credit Card Theft/Fraud

A victim had his wallet stolen from his car while at Burlington Coat Factory, 10400 Midlothian Turnpike.  His credit cards were used at various locations in the Richmond area, including the ABC Store in Southside Plaza, to purchase items without the owner's consent.

February 25, 2010 – Wig Theft

Between 3 and 3:20 p.m., the woman pictured to the left stole a wig from UNi Beauty Supply Store, 7439 Midlothian Turnpike.  Store employees watched her put a wig into the purse she carried, and when they tried to confront her in the parking lot, she denied the theft, got into the passenger side of a dark mini van and drove off.

26 de Abril de 2013 (Crimen de la Semana 1506)

El programa Crime Sovers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere su ayuda para capturar a un sospechoso de robo.

El viernes 5 de abril alrededor de las 5:15 p.m., una mujer estaba dejando a su hijo dentro de su carro en un parqueadero de Kroger, 7000 Tim Price Way. Mientras lo hacía, ella sintió un empujón desde atrás y su bolso fue arrebatado de su hombro. Cuando ella giró vio a un joven negro corriendo hacia el occidente cerca al Firestone.

El sospechoso es descrito como un joven negro, entre 18-29 años y aproximadamente  5 pies, 9 pulgadas de estatura. Tenía cuerpo musculoso y vestía una sudadera gris con una camiseta roja por debajo. En uno de estos casos, una sospechosa blanca estuvo involucrada en incidentes separados de robo en el almacén por departamentos Kohl's de 11331 Midlothian Turnpike. La sospechosa puso múltiples artículos en una bolsa que cargaba y salió del almacén en un vehículo dos puertas con placas de Indiana.

15 Marzo 2013 (Caso 1500) 

Preciso antes de las 4 a.m. del jueves 3 de enero, un hombre entró al Walgreens de 6851 Temie Lee Parkway (en el bloque 14000 de la Hull Street Road). El hombre le entregó al farmaceuta una nota en la que exigía Oxycontin e indicando que estaba armado. El farmaceuta cumplió con la orden y el ladrón salió hacia el Wawa más cercano.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco, 25-35 años de edad. Vestía una sudadera café con gorro, y una máscara sobre su rostro.

15 Febrero 2013 (Caso 1496)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un par de casos de robos.

El primero ocurrió el lunes 21 de enero, aproximadamente a las 11 p.m. en el almacén  Martin's de 13700 Hull Street Road. Un sospechoso blanco llegó hasta el cuarto trasero del departamento de carnes mientras este estaba cerrado y robó una pistola de precios Motorola. El siguiente incidente pasó el jueves 24 aproximadamente a las 9:15 p.m. en el Martin's de 10001 Hull Street Road.

De acuerdo con Prevención de Pérdidas de Giant Food's, estas pistolas están siendo vendidas en todo el estado y ellos como departamentos de policía involucrados quisieran ver al sospechoso capturado y las pistolas de precios recuperadas.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco, 5 pies 8 pulgadas de estatura aproximada y 160 libras de peso. Tenía un tono de piel rojizo, pelo claro y estaba vistiendo gorra negra, una sudadera gris, pantalones negro y blanco y zapatos deportivos.

8 Febrero 2013 (Caso 1495)

Entre las 11:20 a.m. y 12:20 p.m. del viernes 7 de diciembre, un hombre estaba ejercitándose en Riverside Wellness and Fitness, 11621 Robious Road. Cuando regresó a su vestuario, notó que el candado había sido roto y las llaves de su carro no estaban. Pronto él descubrió que alguien había hurgado en su carro y tomado su billetera. Dentro de un lapso de dos horas, el ladrón se hizo a más de $10.000 en compras fraudulentas.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco, 30-35 años de edad, aproximadamente 5 pies once pulgadas de estatura y 185 libras de peso. Tiene pelo negro y muy corto, vestía una chaqueta negra de cuero, camisa clara de botones y pantalones café.

1 Febrero 2013 (Caso 1494)

Desde el 16 de octubre de 2012, los oficiales de Chesterfield han respondido a numerosas llamadas reportando allanamientos a los cobertizos y carros en el área de Chester. La mayoría de estos allanamientos han ocurrido en las subdivisiones Walthall Creek y South Creek y en las casas a lo largo de Woods Edge Road. Los artículos robados han incluido herramientas del cuidado de los jardines, canecas de gasolina, celulares e inclusive un computador portátil. Además una pistola Ruger P3 fue robada de uno de los carros en  Riggers Station Drive.

11 Enero 2013 (Caso 1491)

Los detectives de la Policía del Condado de Chesterfield necesitan su ayuda para resolver un homicidio y el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere ofrecerle sus recursos si usted puede ayudar.

Aproximadamente a las 11:30 p.m. del jueves 29 de noviembre de 2012, una mujer quien vive en Ennismore Court fue alertada por un sonido fuera de su cuarto. Cuando ella fue a investigar se encontró a su hijo de 36 años, Joshua Coomer, sufriendo de una herida de arma. Ella le practicó primeros auxilios hasta que la policía y el equipo de rescate llegaron. A pesar de los esfuerzos por revivirlo, Joshua Coomer sucumbió a sus heridas.

Los detectives están solicitando al público que se acerque con información adicional que pueda ser de valor para esta investigación.

30 Nov. 2012 (Caso 1485)

Un peatón fue atropellado y resultó muerto en el Condado de Chesterfield y el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere ayudar a capturar el sospechoso involucrado.

Justo antes de las 6:30 a.m. del jueves 22 de noviembre, el peatón y residente de la Ciudad de Richmond y de 58 años de edad, Roscoe Baker fue atropellado por un vehículo mientras cruzaba hacia el oriente los carriles de Hull Street Road cerca de la intersección con Turner Road. El señor Baker murió como resultado de las lesiones.

Testigos declararon que hubo otros vehículos en el camino a esa hora en la mañana y los investigadores están esperanzados de que alguien escuche este llamado y proporcione información.

9 Noviembre 2012 (caso 1482)

El miércoles 9 de mayo, dos hombres robaron el almacén Sprint ubicado en 13106 Midlothian Turnpike. Mientras pretendían estar comprando accesorios telefónicos, uno de los sospechosos sacó un arma, y exigió el efectivo y los iPhones.

El sábado 12 de mayo, los mismos dos sospechosos robaron el Jersey Mike's en 12911 Midlothian Turnpike. Después de tomar el efectivo del almacén a punta de pistola, ellos ordenaron a los empleados ir a la parte trasera del almacén y salieron.

El lunes 14 de mayo, ellos atacaron Zeytin Pizza en 9726 Midlothian Turnpike. Mientras tomaban el dinero de la caja registradora y la caja fuerte, ellos ordenaron a punta de pistola a todos los empleados a meterse dentro del refrigerador del almacén antes de salir.

Los dos sospechosos son hombres negros quienes parecen estar iniciando sus 20s. Uno mide aproximadamente 5 pies, 6 pulgadas de estatura. Es trigueño y tiene tatuajes en sus antebrazos. El estilo de su cabello es en trenzas, tiene bigote y barbita de chivo. El segundo sospechoso mide aproximadamente 6 pies, 3 pulgadas de estatura. Es delgado, tiene el pelo corto y un diente frontal desportillado. Durante uno de los incidentes, ellos fueron vistos en un sedan oscuro.

2 Noviembre 2012 (Caso 1481)

Preciso antes de las 4 p.m. del viernes 12 de octubre,  un hombre entró a Turner Cleaners en 2301 Turner Road. Le preguntó al dependiente acerca del costo del lavado de un vestido. Mientras el dependiente le respondía, el sospechoso se acercó más al mostrador, sacó un gran cuchillo de cacería y exigió el dinero. El dependiente obedeció y el sospechoso salió caminando con dirección desconocida.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco, entre 60-65 años de edad y 5 pies, 11 pulgadas de estatura y 175 libras de peso. Su pelo y apariencia general fue descrita como descuidada. Estaba vistiendo una camiseta azul clara de mangas largas, pantalones azules, tenis blancos y gafas para el sol.

26 Octubre 2012 (Caso 1480)

Entre las 4 y 4:30 p.m. del martes 16 de octubre, dos hombres diciendo ser padre e hijo entraron a Pearle Vision Center en Chesterfield Towne Center, 11500 Midlothian Turnpike. Ellos indicaron que estaban comprando las gafas para la mamá. Después de que ellos salieron del almacén sin hacer ninguna compra, el dependiente descubrió que numerosos pares de marcos de gafas habían desaparecido de sus mostradores. Imágenes de las cámaras de seguridad mostraron a ambos sujetos embolsillarse marcos Versace, Tiffany y Prada de todo el almacén. La pérdida monetaria es significante.

Ambos eran hombres negros. El mayor parece estar entre los 45-50 años de edad, 5 pies y 7 pulgadas de estatura y de contextura delgada. Estaba vistiendo pantalones de vestido negro y una camisa blanca y corbata. El más joven parecía estar entre los 14 y 19 años. También es delgado y vestía camisa y corbata.

19 Octubre 2012 (Caso 1479)

Alrededor de las 12:30 de la tarde del viernes 12 de octubre un conductor estaba viajando al sur en Buford Road. De acuerdo con el reporte policiaco, el vehículo tenía la luz verde mientras cruzaba Forest Hill Avenue. Un segundo vehículo hizo un giro a la derecha con la luz roja de  Forest Hill Avenue a Buford Road directamente enfrente del primer vehículo. Los dos vehículos colisionaron, enviando precipitadamente al primer carro encima de un carro que estaba esperando un giro en dirección Buford Road. El incidente no arrojó heridos pero los vehículos resultaron seriamente afectados.

Normalmente esta sería una investigación básica de accidente. Desafortunadamente, el segundo carro dejó la escena y continuó su viaje al sur en Buford Road. El oficial investigando el accidente dijo que testigos dieron la descripción del vehículo que golpeó y huyó como un carro marrón o rojo.

28 Septiembre 2012 (Caso 1476)

Un hombre intentó hacer una compra usando su tarjeta débito pero la transacción fue negada. Cuando el hombre llamó a su banco para averiguar por qué, descubrió que la cuenta tenía un aviso de inhabilitada por actividad sospechosa. En un período de 10 minutos, un sospechoso había tomado el número de este hombre y lo usó para comprar tres tarjetas de regalo en  Target en Colonial Heights, 721 Southpark Boulevard. El mismo sospechoso más tarde redimió estas tarjetas en un Target en Richmond.

El sospechoso es un hombre negro en sus 20s. Es un hombre obeso y vestía una camiseta blanca impresa, pantalones cortos naranja o rojo y una gorra blanca.

7 Septiembre 2012 (Caso 1473)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere utilizar sus recursos para capturar a dos sospechosos de robo.

Antes de las 10:30 p.m. del sábado 30 de junio, dos hombres armados y vistiendo sudaderas con gorro entraron al almacén In & Out en 11936 Centre Street. Cada uno de los sospechosos apuntó las armas a los clientes y a los empleados del almacén y les exigieron tanto su dinero como el de la caja de seguridad. Después de recibir una suma no especificada de dinero y de ordenar a todos tirarse al suelo, los sospechosos salieron del lugar.

Ambos sospechosos son hombres negros, entre los 18 a 20 años de edad. Uno mide aproximadamente 5 pies y 11 pulgadas de estatura y 170 libras de peso, vestía zapatos Nike con marcas amarillas, una sudadera gris clara con gorro y una máscara café. El otro mide aproximadamente 5 pies y 8 pulgadas de estatura y 185 libras de peso, vestía una sudadera gris oscura con gorro y una máscara negra.

31 Agosto 2012 (Caso 1472)

Entre las 10 a.m. y las 2 p.m. del martes 31 de julio, una mujer dejó su bolso en su vehículo parqueado en ACAC Fitnesss Center, 11621 Robious Road. Más tarde en la noche, las tarjetas de crédito robadas fueron usadas para hacer más de $4.200 en compras en el Best Buy en Short Pump y el Best Buy en Brook Road. Los artículos comprados incluyen dos cámaras Cannon EOS.

Alrededor de las 6 p.m. el mismo día, una víctima dejó su billetera en el carro en el Centro Comercial Water Tower en Iron Bridge Road. Las tarjetas robadas fueron usadas para comprar aproximadamente $3.000 de electrónicos de Target en 721 Southpark Boulevard y el Best Buy en 725 Southpark Boulevard. Las compras incluyeron una cámara Canon EOS y un iPad Apple. Una compra adicional de $2.200 fue hecha con la tarjeta de la víctima en el Best Buy en Midlothian y una compra de gasolina en Toano, Va., que está localizado hacia Williamsburg.

Estos casos involucran a las mismas dos sospechosas. La primera sospechosa es negra, finalizando su adolescencia o en sus 20s. Tenía una nariz ancha, de cara redonda y de cabello negro, largo y liso. La segunda es una morena en sus 20s. Tenía frenillos en sus dientes, su cabello era crespo y echado hacia atrás en un sombrero.

24 Agosto 2012 (Caso 1471)

Poco antes de la 1 a.m. del lunes 9 de julio, empleados del restaurante Wendy's en 6824 Hull Street Road, escucharon un gran ruido y vieron como tres hombres sospechosos entraban al restaurante a través de un vidrio de la puerta frontal totalmente destrozado. Uno de los sospechosos, cargando lo que parecía ser un rifle semi-automático, apuntó a los empleados, exigió que ellos se tiraran al piso y eventualmente ordenó al gerente abrir la caja fuerte. Una vez los ladrones tomaron el dinero, salieron a través de la misma ventana rota. Ellos fueron vistos entrar en un sedan oscuro estacionado en Dyer Lane y eventualmente condujeron hacia  Goodes Bridge Road.

13 Julio 2012 (Caso 1465)

Alrededor de las 6:30 p.m. del domingo 6 de mayo, una mujer estaba comprando en Walmart, 12200 Chattanooga Plaza. Después de que ella puso sus compras dentro de su carro, dejó su billetera dentro del carrito de compras y se alejó del lugar. Antes de que saliera del parqueadero cayó en cuenta de que su billetera no estaba pero para cuando ella regresó, la billetera ya había desaparecido. Conjuntamente con la billetera una gran cantidad de dinero desapareció.

El incidente fue reportado a Walmart, las cámaras de seguridad fueron revisadas y se descubrió que un hombre y una mujer afroamericanos se acercaron al sitio de devolución de los carritos de compras inmediatamente después de que la víctima salió y sacaron la billetera del carrito de compras.

El sospechoso parece estar en sus 40s. Él llevaba una gorra blanca con una chaqueta blanca y liviana. Estaba manejando una de los carros eléctricos del almacén. La sospechosa está terminando sus 30s, robusta, vestía una camiseta azul con un gráfico pintado en el frente.

29 Junio 2012 (Un Fugitivo Violento)

Julio Caesar Dieppa, también conocido como Edy Arriaza Castro, es buscado por el Departamento de Policía del Condado de Chesterfield por una acusación de lesiones dolosas con agravantes. Dieppa es un hispano de 40 años de edad. Mide aproximadamente 6 pies de estatura, 160 libras de peso con pelo negro y ojos cafés.

El cargo provino de un incidente de apuñalamiento que ocurrió al comienzo del mes cuando Dieppa severamente apuñaló a una mujer.

22 Junio 2012 (Caso 1462 - Un Robo de Productos de Tabaco)

Un almacén de abarrotes en el Condado de Chesterfield fue forzado y el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere ayudar a los investigadores a resolver el caso. Ellos necesitan SU ayuda.

Temprano en la mañana del martes 3 de abril, alguien irrumpió en 360 Express Mart, 16717 Hull Street Road. El gerente encontró el vidrio de la ventana frontal roto y numerosos paquetes de productos de tabaco vacíos.

Cámaras de vigilancia revelaron a un solo sospechoso quien estaba vistiendo una capucha estilo pasamontañas sobre su cabeza, una sudadera con capucha y pantalones claros. Él estaba empacando la mercancía robada dentro de su mochila.

15 Junio 2012 (Caso 1461 - Un Robo de una billetera)

Dos ladrones se fueron de compras después de robar una billetera y el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield necesita SU ayuda para identificarlos y encontrarlos.

La billetera de una víctima fue robada de Costco en Mall Drive entre las 5 p.m. y las 6 p.m. del martes 5 de junio. Poco después de descubrir el robo, la víctima llamó a cancelar sus tarjetas y descubrió que una ya había sido usada en Target, 11301 Midlothian Turnpike para hacer una compra de $1.500.

Las cámaras de vigilancia de Target mostraron a dos sospechosos involucrados en la transacción fraudulenta. Uno parece ser un hispano en sus 40s. Vestía una camisa rosada de mangas largas y pantalones yins, una gorra oscura y gafas para el sol. El segundo hombre es un joven hispano quien vestía una camiseta estilo polo de color azul claro o morada.

25 Mayo 2012 (COW 1448 )

Esta semana el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights quiere usar sus recursos para ayudar a los detectives del Departamento de Policía del Condado de Chesterfield a identificar un violento criminal.

El martes 1 de mayo alrededor de la 1:30 a.m., un hombre estaba caminando hacia un apartamento en Bermuda Run Apartments para visitar a un residente en Mangowood Drive. Mientras tanto en el frente del edificio 2501, dos jóvenes hombres negros portando armas se le acercaron a la víctima y exigieron el dinero. La víctima entregó lo que tenía, y cuando los ladrones exigieron más, la víctima huyó del área. Mientras la víctima corría al norte de la Jefferson Davis Highway, un Mitsubishi Gallant oscuro con tres ocupantes lo detuvo. Un hombre salió e hizo el comentario que ellos iban a matar a la víctima. A la víctima le dispararon tres veces y uno de las balas le dio en la parte baja de la espalda, los sospechosos se escaparon. Un transeúnte vio a la víctima y llamó a la policía y la víctima fue prontamente llevada en ambulancia a un hospital donde se recupera de sus heridas.

Quien disparó es descrito como un hombre negro entrando en los veintes, 5 pies, 8 pulgadas de estatura aproximadamente y de color trigueño. Vestía una sudadera con gorro de color gris con rayas azules y pantalones azules denim.

11 Mayo 2012 (COW 1456 - La Matanza de Farooq Anwar)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para capturar a la persona o personas quienes le dispararon y mataron a Farooq Anwar en su almacén Fast and Friendly ubicado en 6249 Jefferson Davis Highway el miércoles 18 de julio de 2007.

Un cliente descubrió el cuerpo de Anwar alrededor de las 11:30 p.m. y llamó al 911. Los investigadores creen que el robo pudo haber sido el motivo.

Este caso fue considerado El Crimen de la Semana el 1 de mayo de 2009. La familia de Anwar continúa manteniendo contacto con los investigadores y todavía están ofreciendo una recompensa adicional de $5.000 por información que lleve al arresto y condena de la persona/personas responsables por este crimen.

6 Abril 2012 (Robo de los Bicicletas de Montañisimo)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de irrumpir, traspasar y de un hurto de gran cuantía.

El viernes 30 de marzo entre las 12 a.m. y 6:50 a.m., un garaje en el bloque 13600 Woods Edge Road fue abierto. El sospechoso o sospechosos cortaron una abertura en la cerradura de la puerta, entraron al garaje y robaron varias bicicletas de montañismo las que están avaluadas en miles de dólares.

Las descripciones de las bicicletas de montañismo son:

2009 Kawasaki KLX 140

30 Marzo 2012 (COW 1450 - Forzando Máquinas Dispensadores)

El sábado 12 de febrero, un hombre fue capturado en las cámaras de seguridad forzando muchas máquinas dispensadoras de productos en Sheraton Park South, 9901 Midlothian Turnpike. El sospechoso era un hombre blanco en sus 20s o cerca de los 30s y tenía la cabeza pelada.

Después, el jueves 23 de febrero, otro hombre blanco fue cogido en cámara forzando máquinas dispensadoras en Holiday Inn-Koger Center, 1021 Koger Center Boulevard. Era un hombre blanco en sus 20s. Era delgado y estaba vistiendo una sudadera oscura, con gorro y una gráfica blanca en el frente, una gorra de beisbolista girada hacia atrás, pantalones claros y zapatos negros.

Los investigadores de los dos casos creen que ambos hombres están relacionados.

23 Marzo 2012 (COW 1449 - Robaron Turbo Tax)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un grupo de personas quienes robaron un total de 78 copias del programa  Turbo Tax.

El domingo 11 de marzo, alrededor de la 1 p.m., dos mujeres negras y un hombre negro entraron al Sam's Club de 901 Walmart Way. La cámara de vigilancia muestra a dos de los sospechosos vaciando la vitrina del programa Turbo Tax dentro de un carrito de compras. Una de las mujeres es más tarde vista poniendo todo lo de Turbo Tax en un maletín grande  mientras estaba de pie en uno de los pasillos. Un poco más tarde, la misma mujer es vista saliendo con el maletín sobre el hombro derecho y dirigiéndose al parqueadero. Un poco después, los otros sospechosos salen del almacén y se cree que todos abordaron un Ford Taurus azul claro. Basados en la información de supervisión de Sam's Club, se cree que los mismos sospechosos cometieron el mismo tipo de robo en Sam's Club de Broad Street en el Condado de Henrico.

16 Marzo 2012 (COW 1448 - Un Robo de Tarjeta de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a una mujer quien utilizó una tarjeta de crédito robada  y no estaba demostrando ser el mejor ejemplo.

En las horas de la tarde del jueves 22 de diciembre de 2011, una clienta se le acercó a una cajera en Walmart, 671 Southpark Boulevard. Ella compró un lector electrónico Kindle Fire y un teléfono prepago con una tarjeta de crédito. La mujer entonces intentó hacer una segunda compra de dos Kindles más, pero la transacción fue negada. Más tarde, el establecimiento supo que la tarjeta de crédito había sido robada a una mujer en el Condado de Dinwiddie.

Cámaras de vigilancia no solo capturaron imágenes de la sospechosa sino que la muestran con tres niños. Ella parece estar en sus 30’s y estaba vistiendo pantalones oscuros, una camisa negra manga larga y una gorra azul.

17 Feb. 2012 (COW 1444 - Defraudar a un Almacén de Ropa de Mujer)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar una sospechosa quien defraudó un almacén de ropa de mujer en Colonial Heights.

El jueves 2 de febrero, tres mujeres entraron al almacén Upstairs en el centro Comercial  Southpark justo antes de las 6 p.m. Una de las mujeres trajo aproximadamente $460 en artículos de vestuario a la registradora y presentó una tarjeta de regalo VISA. Mientras la cajera pasaba la tarjeta a lo que parecía ser una transacción aprobada, el lector de tarjetas dejó de funcionar.  Estando con sospecha de lo que sucedió con la máquina,  la dependiente contactó más tarde al banco mostrado en la tarjeta y el banco le explicó que la transacción había sido rechazada una vez el lector de tarjetas estuvo operando de nuevo.

10 Febrero 2012 (COW 1443 - Robaron el BB&T)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a un sospechoso a quien la policía cree cometió un robo y un intento de robo en el sur del Condado de Chesterfield. En cada crimen, un hombre blanco entró a la sucursal del Banco BB&T de 5756 Hopkins Road, inmediatamente se le acercó a la cajera y le pasó una nota exigiendo el dinero.

El primer incidente en el cual el sospechoso robó el efectivo del banco ocurrió el lunes 23 de enero alrededor de las 12:21 p.m. El intento de robo ocurrió el lunes 30 de enero alrededor de las 12:44 p.m. durante el incidente, el sospechoso no se llevó el efectivo. El sospechoso en ambos incidentes es descrito como un hombre blanco entre los 30 y 40 años de edad, 180 libras de peso, 5 pies 6 pulgadas de estatura y vestía un gorro azul tejido y gafas para el sol.

23 Sept. 2011 (COW 1423 - Homicido en el Centro Comercial Cloverleaf)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de doble homicidio en un caso archivado.

 El jueves 7 de noviembre de 1996, Charlita Singleton y Cheryl Edwards esteban trabajando en  el almacén All For One en el Centro Comercial Cloverleaf. Al día siguiente, la familia de Charlita llamó a la policía porque ella no regresó a la casa del trabajo. La policía descubrió los cuerpos de ambas mujeres dentro de la oficina del almacén.    

 En el momento de sus muertes, ambas mujeres tenían niños pequeños. Estos niños han tenido que crecer sin sus madres. Estas familias necesitan respuestas. Por favor ayúdelos, ayudando a la policía a resolver estas muertes y llevar a los responsables a la justicia.

9 Septiembre 2011 (COW 1421 - Violación de Domicilio)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de la violación de domicilio.

EL miércoles 27 de julio, entre 1:30 p.m. y 3 p.m., una casa en el bloque 4400 de Oxbridge Road fue irrumpida. Una "cámara nanny" capturó un video del sospechoso cometiendo el crimen.

29 Oct. 2010 (Crimen de la Semana 1376 - Una Tarjeta de Crédito robada/CVS)

Esta semana el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita ayuda para identificar a dos hombres quienes usaron una tarjeta de crédito robada.

Un empleado del almacén CVS ubicado en 10100 Robious Road contactó a la policía después de que un sospechoso intentó usar una tarjeta de crédito para comprar una tarjeta prepago de regalo Visa. El empleado notó que la información personal en la tarjeta no coincidía con el sospechoso quien presentaba la tarjeta y la transacción fue declinada. 14 June 2013 (Crime of the Week 1513 - Indecent Exposure Case)

Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, a woman was in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at Turner Road and Midlothian Turnpike when she was approached by a thin white male driving a red vehicle. The man asked her if she needed a ride, and she ignored the man and continued walking on her way. Approximately 15 minutes later, the same man stopped beside her on Cloverleaf Drive near Turner Road, and again asked her if she wanted a ride. She noticed that the man was exposing himself to her, so she screamed and he drove away.

The suspect was a white male. He appeared to be in his 40s, and had a thin build, close-cut, light-colored hair and small-framed eyeglasses. He wore a dark shirt with light-khaki pants. Surveillance cameras at the 7-Eleven revealed that the car he was driving was a red Ford Mustang with a tan convertible top.

7 June 2013 (Crime of the Week 1512 - Vehicle Break-in/Gold's Gym)

A purse was stolen from a parked car, a credit card was used, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve the case.

Between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, a woman parked her car in the lot of Gold's Gym, 9101 Midlothian Turnpike. Her car was locked, but a thief spotted her purse inside and broke one of the car's windows to get to it. The victim did call to cancel all her debit and credit cards, but not before one of the credit cards was used to purchase cartons of Newport cigarettes at various businesses off of Forest Hill Avenue.

The suspect who used the stolen card appeared to be an older black male with a grey goatee or beard.

31 May 2013 (Crime of the Week 1511 - Henricus Park Theft)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program has helped resolve some unusual cases during the course of its history, and this one, if solved, would certainly become one of them.

Some time between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, and 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, someone entered Henricus Historical Park while it was closed and stole items from an area known as the Indian Village. What made the theft so unusual was that among the items stolen were approximately 20 animal pelts. The cost to the park was substantial.

17 May 2013 (Crime of the Week 1510 - Midlothian High School Site Thefts)

Two larcenies and one commercial burglary were recently reported at the construction site at Midlothian High School, 401 Charter Colony Parkway. The first incident occurred on Friday, April 19, and involved the theft of copper. In the second incident, on Friday, May 3, a white crew-cab pickup truck with chrome, tubular running boards towed away a Miller Bobcat welding machine and numerous tools. The third incident occurred on Monday, May 13, and involved the theft of copper from the site. In this third case, the suspect was driving a dark-colored pickup truck. Combined, the three incidents have been very costly, and investigators need your help to catch the suspects involved.

17 May 2013 (Crime of the Week 1509 - Vandalism at Express Wash)

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, a man was attempting to use a wash bay at the Express Wash, 9710 Jefferson Davis Highway. He tried several times to make the system work, but was not successful. He pulled to the side and made additional attempts to start the wash to no avail. Apparently frustrated, he pulled something out of the back of his truck and struck the car wash control box several times. After causing extensive damage to the box, the man drove off.

The suspect was a white male. He wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a black ball cap. He was driving a Ford F-150 king-cab pickup, red or maroon in color.

10 May 2013 (Crime of the Week 1508 - B/E to Tienda Joana)

A local business was broken into, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve the case.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, a large rock was thrown at the glass entrance to Tienda Joana in Meadowbrook Plaza. Two subjects wearing dark clothing entered the store and grabbed numerous cartons of cigarettes and thin cigars from inside. Unfortunately, they also stole a Mossberg 12-guage shotgun.

3 May 2013 (Crime of the Week 1507 - Home Break-In)

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, a car pulled into a cul-de-sac in the Cascade Creek Subdivision of Chesterfield County. Two men got out and walked around the victim's house to the back deck. One of the male suspects removed the screen from a window, slid the window open and went into the home. The alarm went off, but the suspect who entered continued into the home. He stole a nickel-plated Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun and cash.

The victim had installed a security system, which captured the entire incident on video. Both suspects were black males between 18-25 years of age. One wore a black skull cap and a white T-shirt. The second wore a red hat and a white T-shirt. They arrived and left in a white, four-door sedan.

26 April 2013 (Crime of the Week 1506 - Strong Arm Robbery/Kroger)

On Friday, April 5, at about 5:15 p.m., a woman was loading her child into her car in the parking lot of Kroger, 7000 Tim Price Way. As she was doing so she felt a push from behind and her purse was ripped from her shoulder. She turned and saw a young black male running west toward the nearby Firestone.

The suspect was a black male, 18-29 years old and approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. He had a muscular build and wore a grey sweatshirt with a red polo-style shirt underneath. The suspect's sweatshirt and the victim's purse, less the victim's credit cards, were later recovered. Surveillance cameras at a Family Dollar in Richmond captured images of a black male using the victim's stolen credit card.

19 April 2013 (Crime of the Week 1505 - Theft of a Floor Buffer)

On Saturday, Feb. 2, at about 9:30 p.m., two white males entered the Martin's at 12601 Jefferson Davis Highway and said they were there to service a floor buffer. A few minutes later, one of the men pushed the silver industrial propane floor buffer out of the store's front door.

The first man, who was wearing a blue and gray jacket, jeans and a brown belt, appeared to be 35 to 50 years old. The second man, who appeared to be 45 to 65 years old, was wearing a green jacket, cream khaki pants and a black knit cap.

12 April 2013 (Crime of the Week 1504 - Theft from Theatre and Fraud)

On Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, a woman and her daughter went to Westchester Regal Cinema to watch a movie at approximately 1 p.m. During the movie, the victim set her purse in the seat beside her. As she stood up to leave, the victim noticed that her wallet was sitting on top of her purse. She checked, and discovered that her credit cards had been taken.

The subsequent investigation revealed that a black female used two of the victim's stolen cards at a Best Buy and Target, both within Chesterfield. She appeared to be in her 40s, heavyset, and had a medium complexion. Detectives believe this female suspect was involved in other similar cases.

5 April 2013 (Crime of the Week 1503 - 7-Eleven Robbery)

On Friday, March 22, around 10:45 p.m., a man entered the 7-Eleven at 100 E. Hundred Road wearing a black ski mask, dark gloves, a black sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath and black pants. He pointed a gun at the clerk and ordered the clerk to give him money from the register. The clerk turned over the money as ordered. The robber, along with a second male, ran from the area toward the woods behind the store.

The gunman was approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. A second suspect, who acted as a lookout, was approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He wore light-colored denim jeans, a black/white stripped shirt, light-colored gloves and a black mask.

29 March 2013 (Crime of the Week 1502 - NSOTV)

Crime Solvers program wants to solve cases that are highlighted on the "Not Seen on TV" page.

In one such case, (pictured top-right) a white female suspect was involved in two separate shoplifting incidents at the Kohl's department store at 11331 Midlothian Turnpike.  The suspect put multiple items into a bag she was carrying and left the store in a two-door vehicle with Indiana license plates.

You can see her pictures and pictures of the car she was seen in on the "Not Seen on TV" page.  Simply click on the picture montage to the left.  Also on this page, you will see many good-quality photos of other suspects who have yet to be identified by police.  As the quality of surveillance cameras increases, the opportunities to resolve cases increase, as well.

15 March 2013 (Crime of the Week 1500 - Robbery at Walgreens)

Just before 4 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, a man entered the Walgreens at 6851 Temie Lee Parkway (in the 14000 block of Hull Street Road). The man handed the pharmacist a note demanding Oxycontin and indicating he was armed. The pharmacist complied with the order, and the robber fled toward the nearby Wawa.

The suspect is a white male, 25-35 years old. He wore a brown hooded sweatshirt, a red ball cap and a mask over his face.

8 March 2013 (Crime of the Week 1499 - iPad Fraud)

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, a woman was pumping gas at the Wawa at 7500 Midlothian Turnpike. She was approached by a man who said he had an Apple iPad for sale, and was looking to sell it cheap because times were hard. She gave the man $100, and he handed her a FedEx box and left in a white Nissan four-door. When the victim got home, she discovered that she had been sold a piece of glass wrapped in duct tape.

 The suspect was a stocky black male, approximately 30 years old. He was clean shaven and called himself Mike. He left in a white Nissan four-door that had a black spot where the front license plate would normally be.

22 Feb. 2013 (Crime of the Week 1497 - Two Robberies, One Suspect)

On Monday, Feb. 4, at about 6 a.m., a man walked into Marketplace 105, 7933 Jeff Davis Highway, wearing a mask over the lower part of his face and holding a dark-colored revolver. He went behind the counter, forced the clerk to open the register, took the cash and ran from the store.

Then, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the same evening, the same man robbed Tobacco Hut, 11968 Iron Bridge Plaza.

The suspect was a white male, 30-35 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He had light hair and eyebrows and grey/blue eyes. He was wearing a dark coat, light pants and a dark ball cap.

15 Feb. 2013 (Crime of the Week 1496 - Stolen Price Guns)

Crime Solvers needs your help to solve a pair of related larcenies.

The first occurred on Monday, Jan. 21, at approximately 11 p.m. at the Martin's grocery store at 13700 Hull Street Road. A white male suspect walked into the meat department's back room while it was closed and stole a Motorola pricing gun. The next incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 24, at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Martin's at 10001 Hull Street Road.

According to Giant Food's Loss Prevention, these pricing guns are being stolen all over the state, and they, like the police departments involved, would like to see the suspect caught and the pricing guns returned.

The suspect was a white male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had a reddish skin tone and light-colored hair and was wearing a black ball cap, a grey fleece sweatshirt, black pants and black/white athletic shoes.

8 Feb. 2013 (Crime of the Week 1495 - Break-in/Credit Card Fraud)

Between 11:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, a man was working out at Riverside Wellness and Fitness, 11621 Robious Road. When he returned to his locker, he noticed the lock had been tampered with and his car keys were missing. He soon discovered that someone had rummaged through his car and taken his wallet. Within a two-hour span, the thief managed to accrue approximately $10,000 in fraudulent charges.

The suspect was a white male, 30-35 years old, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 185 pounds. He had crew-cut black hair, and was wearing a black leather jacket, a light buttoned oxford shirt and tan slacks.

1 Feb. 2013 (Crime of the Week 1494 - Shed and Car Break-ins)

Since Oct. 16, 2012, Chesterfield officers have responded to numerous calls reporting break-ins to sheds and cars in the Chester area. The majority of these break-ins have occurred in the Walthall Creek and South Creek subdivisions and at homes along Woods Edge Road. The items stolen have included lawn care tools, gasoline cans, cell phones and even a laptop computer. Also, a Ruger P3 handgun was stolen from one car on Riggers Station Drive.

11 Jan. 2013 (Crime of the Week 1491 - Coomer Homicide)

Chesterfield County Police detectives need your help to solve a homicide, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to offer you its resources if you can help.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, a woman living on Ennismore Court was awakened by a noise outside her bedroom. When she got up to investigate, she found her 36-year-old son, Joshua Coomer, suffering from a gunshot wound. She performed CPR until police and rescue units arrived. Despite efforts to revive him, Joshua Coomer succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are asking the public to come forward with any additional information that might be of value to this investigation.

30 Nov. 2012 (Crime of the Week 1485 - Fatal Hit & Run)

A pedestrian was struck and killed in Chesterfield County, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to help catch the suspect involved.

Just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22, a 58-year-old pedestrian and Richmond City resident, Roscoe Baker, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the westbound lanes of Hull Street Road near the Turner Road intersection. Mr. Baker died as a result of his injuries.

New evidence in the case indicates that the striking vehicle may have been a pearl-white Chrysler 300.

Nov. 21, 2012 (COW 1484 - First Community Bank Robbery)

The First Community Bank at 11400 Midlothian Turnpike was robbed on Nov. 13.  Around 10:30 a.m. a black male with a sweatshirt hood pulled over his head walked into the bank. He immediately walked to the counter and passed one of the tellers a note demanding money. He was handed an undisclosed amount of cash. He left the bank on foot and headed in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build and a light complexion. He wore a brown, hooded sweatshirt, blue denim jeans and a grey stocking cap.

Nov. 16, 2012 (Crime of the Week 1483 - Stolen Car/Truck Batteries)

Since Oct. 17, batteries were reported stolen from seven school buses parked in various locations throughout the county. Seven of the 11 stolen batteries were taken from buses parked at Manchester Middle School, 7401 Hull Street Road. Other locations included the Big Lots at 10161 Hull Street Road and Central Baptist Church at 1510 Courthouse Road. The buses are being entered during the day and evening hours, and batteries are being disconnected, not just ripped out. 

Detectives working the cases may have received a break when security cameras at Ron Ellis Frame and Front End captured images of two suspects stealing car batteries from six cars parked on their lot. The suspects appeared to be a white male and white female team. They were seen in a white pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10.

UPDATE!!  These two suspects have been IDENTIFIED as Joseph Newton, Jr. and Denise Coates.  Police are trying to locate them, so if you know their whereabouts, send your tip THROUGH US!

Nov. 9, 2012 (COW 1482 - Three May Robberies)

On Wednesday, May 9, two men robbed the Sprint store at 13106 Midlothian Turnpike.  As they pretended to be shopping for phone accessories, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded cash and iPhones.

Then on Saturday, May 12, the same two suspects robbed the Jersey Mike's at 12911 Midlothian Turnpike. After taking the store's cash at gunpoint, they ordered the employees to the back of the store before they left.

On Monday, May 14, they then struck the Zeytin Pizza at 9726 Midlothian Turnpike. While taking money from the register and safe, they ordered, at gunpoint, all the employees into the store's freezer before leaving.

The suspects were both black males who appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s. One was approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was light complexioned and had tattoos on his forearms. He wore his hair in dreadlocks and had a mustache and goatee. The second was approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He was thin, had short hair and chipped front teeth. During one of the incidents, they were seen in a dark-colored sedan.

Nov. 2, 2012 (COW 1481 - Turner Cleaners Robbery)

Just prior to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, a man entered the Turner Cleaners at 2301 Turner Road. He asked the clerk about the cost of dry cleaning a suit. As the clerk answered, the suspect leaned closer to the counter, drew out a large hunting knife and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect was a white male. He appeared to be 60-65 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 175 pounds. His hair and general appearance was described as unkempt. He was wearing a light blue, long-sleeve T-shirt, blue denim jeans, white tennis shoes and sunglasses.

Oct. 26, 2012 (COW 1480 - Theft of Eyeglass Frames)

Between 4 and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, two men claiming to be father and son entered the Pearle Vision Center in Chesterfield Towne Center, 11500 Midlothian Turnpike. They indicated that they were shopping for glasses for the mother. After they left the store without making a purchase, the clerk discovered numerous pairs of high-end eyeglass frames missing from their displays. Security video footage showed both subjects pocketing Versace, Tiffany and Prada frames from throughout the store. The monetary loss was significant.

Both were black males.  The older male appeared to be 45-50 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing black dress pants and a white oxford shirt with a necktie.  The younger appeared to be between 14 and 19 years of age. He also had a thin build and was wearing a black oxford shirt and a necktie.

October 19, 2012 (Crime of the Week 1479 - Hit and Run/Forest Hill Ave. & Buford Rd.)

At about 12:30 in the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 12, a driver was traveling south on Buford Road.  According to the police report, the vehicle faced a green light as it crossed Forest Hill Avenue.  A second car made a right turn through a red light from Forest Hill Avenue onto Buford Road directly in front of the first vehicle.  The two vehicles collided, sending the first vehicle headlong into a car waiting in a turn lane in the northbound direction on Buford Road. While the airbag in the first vehicle did activate, there were no serious injuries.  The vehicles sustained heavy damage.

Normally this would be a basic crash investigation.  Unfortunately, the second vehicle left the scene and continued to travel south on Buford Road.  The officer investigating the crash said witnesses gave the description of the hit-and-run vehicle as a maroon or red car.

5 October 2012 (Crime of the Week 1477 - Vandalism at Hampton Park Pool)

Between 10 and 10:40 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at least two suspects broke into the Hampton Park pool, 8201 Hampton Green Drive.  While inside the facility, the suspects spray painted anarchist and gang-type symbols throughout the pool area.  As far as the pool management could tell, no entry was gained to the buildings and nothing was stolen, but the vandalism damage was extensive.

The suspects spray painted the security cameras, hoping to make them useless.

28 Sept. 2012 (Crime of the Week 1476 - Debit Card Fraud/Target)

A man tried to make a purchase using his debit card but the transaction was denied.  When he called his bank to find out why, he learned that the account had a hold on it because of suspicious activity.  Within a 10-minute period of time, a male suspect had taken this man’s number and used it to purchase three gift cards at the Target in Colonial Heights, 721 Southpark Boulevard.  The same suspect later redeemed those cards at a Target in Richmond.

The suspect is a black male in his 20s.  He has a stocky build and was wearing a printed white T-shirt, orange or red shorts and a white, low-profile ball cap.

Sept. 7, 2012 (Crime of the Week 1473 - In & Out Store Robbery)

Just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, two armed men wearing hooded sweatshirts entered the In & Out Convenience Store at 11936 Centre Street. Each suspect pointed a handgun at customers and store employees and demanded cash from them and the store's safe. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money and ordering everyone to the floor, the suspects left.

Both suspects were black males, about 18-to-20 years old. One was approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds, wearing white Nike shoes with yellow markings, a light grey hooded sweatshirt and a brown mask. The other was approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 185 pounds, wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and a black mask.

Aug. 31, 2012 (Crime of the Week 1472 - Credit Card Fraud)

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, a woman left her purse in her vehicle while parked at the ACAC Fitnesss Center, 11621 Robious Road. Later that evening, her stolen credit cards were used to make more than $4,200 in purchases at the Best Buy in Short Pump and the Best Buy on Brook Road. The items purchased included two Cannon EOS cameras.

Around 6 p.m. on the same day, a victim left her wallet in her car at the Water Tower Shopping Center on Iron Bridge Road. Cards stolen from that victim were used to purchase approximately $3,000 worth of electronics from the Target at 721 Southpark Boulevard and the Best Buy at 725 Southpark Boulevard. The purchase included a Canon EOS camera and an Apple iPad. An additional $2,200 was spent on the victim's cards at the Best Buy in Midlothian and on a gasoline purchase in Toano, Va., which is located toward Williamsburg.

These cases involved the same two suspects. The first suspect was a dark-complexioned black female in her late teens or early 20s. She had a wide nose and a rounded face with long, straight black hair. The second was a medium complexioned black female in her 20s. She had braces on her teeth and her hair was curly and pulled back into a hat.

Aug. 24, 2012 (COW 1471 - Armed Robbery at Wendy's)

Just prior to 1 a.m. on Monday, July 9, employees of the Wendy's restaurant, 6824 Hull Street Road, heard a loud crash and watched as three male suspects entered the restaurant through a shattered front glass window.  One of the suspects, wielding what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle, charged at the employees, demanded that they lay on the floor and eventually ordered the manager to open the safe.  Once the robbers were given money, they fled through the same broken window.  They were seen getting into a dark-colored sedan parked on Dyer Lane and eventually driving onto Goodes Bridge Road.

July 13, 2012 (COW 1465 - Wallet Theft/Walmart)

Around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, a woman was shopping at Walmart, 12200 Chattanooga Plaza. After loading her groceries into her car, she left her wallet in the shopping cart at the cart return and started to drive away. Before leaving the lot, she realized her wallet was missing, but by the time she got back to the cart, the wallet was gone. A large amount of cash that was inside the wallet was also gone.

There were two suspects revealed in the surveillance footage. The male suspect appeared to be in his 40s. He was wearing a white ball cap with a white, light-weight jacket. He was riding one of the store's electric carts. The female suspect was in her late 30s, heavyset and wearing a blue T-shirt with a graphic printed on the front. They drove away in a burgundy-colored sedan.

July 6, 2012 (COW 1464 - Macy's Shoplifting, Colonial Heights)

Around 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2, two white males appeared to be shopping for clothes in the men's section of Macy's, Southpark Mall in Colonial Heights. Both suspects brought clothes into the dressing room, removed tags and concealed the merchandise underneath the clothes they were wearing. They walked out with hundreds of dollars worth of stolen clothes. They left the lot in a dark SUV.

Both suspects appeared to be in their 20s and both had thinly-trimmed beards.  One was wearing a light green bowling-style shirt with another black shirt underneath, plaid shorts, black athletic shoes and a black Los Angeles Dodgers ball cap.  The second wore a black T-shirt, long denim shorts, white athletic shoes and a black Chicago Bulls ball cap.

June 29, 2012 (COW 1463 - Attempt Robbery at CVS)

At about 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, a black male entered the CVS at 8121 Midlothian Turnpike and went to the pharmacy. The man passed a threatening note to the pharmacist demanding a variety of prescription medications. He passed the note with his left hand, keeping his right in his sweatshirt pocket. The pharmacist gave the note to the head pharmacist, but the suspect walked out of the store as the head pharmacist was reading the note.

Surveillance footage revealed a black male suspect, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 pounds. He wore a royal blue stocking cap and a dark grey, hooded sweatshirt. Perhaps the most recognizable feature of the suspect, however, is the fact that he had two prosthetic legs. He was seen getting into a silver car that had a sunroof.

June 22, 2012 (COW 1462 - Tobacco Product Theft)

A convenience store in Chesterfield County was broken into, and Crime Solvers wants to help investigators solve the case. They need YOUR help.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 3, someone broke into 360 Express Mart, 16717 Hull Street Road. The manager found the front glass window broken and numerous tobacco product displays empty.

Surveillance footage revealed a single male suspect who was wearing a balaclava-style hood over his head, a hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants. He was loading the stolen merchandise into a backpack.

June 15, 2012 (COW 1461 - Credit Card Fraud)

Two thieves went on a shopping spree after stealing a wallet.

A victim's wallet was stolen from the Costco on Mall Drive between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5. Shortly after discovering the theft, the victim called to cancel her cards and learned that one had already been used at Target, 11301 Midlothian Turnpike, to make a $1,500 purchase.

Target surveillance revealed two suspects involved in the fraudulent transaction.  One appeared to be a Hispanic male in his 40s. He wore a long-sleeved, pink dress shirt with denim jeans, a dark-colored ball cap and eyeglasses. The second was a younger Hispanic male who wore a light blue or purple polo-style shirt.

May 25, 2012 (COW 1458 - Robbery/shooting)

This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to use its resources to help Chesterfield County Police detectives identify a violent criminal.

On Tuesday, May 1, at about 1:30 a.m., a man was walking toward an apartment in Bermuda Run Apartments to visit a resident on Mangowood Drive. While in front of building 2605, two young black males approached the victim with guns drawn and demanded money. The victim handed over what he had, and when the robbers demanded more, the victim ran from the area. As the victim was running away north on Jefferson Davis Highway, a dark-colored Mitzubishi Gallant pulled up to him with three occupants. One male got out and made the comment that they were going to kill the victim. The victim was shot at three times, and one shot pierced his lower back; the suspects drove away. A passerby saw the victim and called police, and the victim was soon after carried by ambulance to the hospital, where he was held due to his injuries.

The shooter was described as a light-complexioned black male in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue stripes on it and blue denim jeans.

May 11, 2012 (COW 1456 - Farooq Anwar Homicide)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to catch the person or people who shot and killed store owner Farooq Anwar at his Fast and Friendly convenience store at 6249 Jefferson Davis Highway on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.

 A customer discovered Anwar’s body at about 11:30 p.m. and dialed 911. Investigators believe robbery may have been the motive.

 This case was featured as a Crime of the Week case on May 1, 2009. Anwar’s family and friends continue to maintain contact with investigators, and are still offering an additional reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for this crime.

April 27, 2012 (COW 1454 - YMCA Locker thefts)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a suspect involved in two YMCA thefts.

On Wednesday, Feb. 29, around 3 p.m., an employee of the YMCA at 737 Coalfield Road put his belongings into a locker and went to work.  Unfortunately, he forgot to secure the locker, and when he went to retrieve his wallet around 5 p.m., it was not there.  When he called his credit card companies to cancel his cards, he learned that they had already been used at the Food Lion in the Village Marketplace shopping center, the Martin's in the Sycamore Square shopping center and the Chick-Fil-A in Chesterfield Towne Center.  Those purchases totaled more than $600.

Investigators learned that later the same day the same suspect also stole from a gym patron at the YMCA at 7540 Hull Street Road.  In that case, the victim put items in an unlocked locker.  The victim's wallet and keys were stolen, and the victim's car was rummaged through and stolen from.

The suspect is a white male, 19-25 years of age, with short, brown hair.  He wore denim jeans, a red T-shirt and a black coat with white lining.

April 6, 2012 (COW 1451- Stolen Dirt Bikes)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a breaking and entering and grand larceny suspect.

On Friday, March 30, between 12 a.m. and 6:50 a.m., a garage in the 13600 block of Woods Edge Road was broken into. The suspect, or suspects, cut open a lock on a door, gained entry to the garage and managed to steal several dirt bikes, which are worth thousands of dollars.

The dirt bike descriptions are as follows:

1999 ATK 260 LQ (2 were stolen)

1987 Kawasaki KX 80

2009 Kawasaki KLX 140

March 30, 2012 (COW 1450 - Coin Machine break-ins)

On Sunday, Feb. 12, a man was captured on security cameras breaking into several coin operated vending machines at Sheraton Park South, 9901 Midlothian Turnpike. The suspect was a white male in his late 20s or early 30s; he had a shaved head.

Then, on Thursday, Feb. 23, a different male suspect was caught on camera breaking into coin operated machines at the Holiday Inn-Koger Center, 1021 Koger Center Boulevard. He was a white male in his 20s. He had a thin build and was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a white graphic on the front, a dark-colored ball cap turned backwards, light-colored pants and black shoes.

March 23, 2012 (COW 1449 - Turbo Tax Grand Larceny)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a group of people who stole a total of 78 copies of Turbo Tax Software.

On Sunday, March 11, at about 1 p.m., two black females and one black male entered the Sam's Club at 901 Walmart Way. Video surveillance shows two of the suspects emptying the display area of Turbo Tax Software into a shopping cart. One of the females is later seen placing all of the Turbo Tax Software into a large duffel bag while standing in one of the aisles. At a later time, the same female is seen leaving with the duffel bag over her right shoulder, and heading into the parking lot. A short time later, the other suspects leave the store, and all are believed to have gotten into a light blue Ford Taurus. Based on information from Sam's Club supervision, it is believed the same suspects committed the same type of crime at the Sam's Club on Broad Street in Henrico County.

Feb. 10, 2012 (COW 1443 - BB&T Bank Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the suspect who police believe committed a robbery and an attempted robbery in southern Chesterfield County. In each crime, a white male entered the BB&T bank branch at 5756 Hopkins Road, immediately approached a clerk and passed a note demanding money.

The first incident, in which the suspect robbed the bank of cash, occurred on Monday, Jan. 23, at about 12:21 p.m. The attempted robbery occurred on Monday, Jan. 30, at about 12:44 p.m. During this incident, no cash was taken by the suspect. The suspect in both incidents is described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, 180 pounds, 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a blue knit hat and sunglasses.

Sept. 23, 2011 (COW 1423 - Cloverleaf Mall Double Homicide )

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a cold case double homicide suspect.

 On Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996, Charlita Singleton and Cheryl Edwards were working at the All For One store at Cloverleaf Mall. The next day, Charlita's family contacted police when she did not return home from work. Police discovered the bodies of both women inside the store's office.   

 At the time of the murders, both women had small children. These children have had to grow up without their mothers. These families need answers. Please help them by helping police to solve these murders and bring those responsible to justice.

August 5, 2011 (COW 1416 - Ettrick Supermarket Shooting)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is asking for your help to solve a shooting that occurred in 1991.

On Oct. 4, 1991, Walter H. Eley was locking up the former Ettrick Supermarket at 3615 E. River Road in Chesterfield at approximately 10 p.m.  As he walked to his car with the store's deposit bag, a white or cream colored Cadillac pulled into the lot and blocked his car.  A man got out of the passenger side, approached Eley and demanded the money.  The suspect shot Eley three times with a small-caliber handgun and fled the scene.  Thankfully, Eley survived the wounds.

 The suspect was a heavyset black male, 20-30 years old.

July 22, 2011 (COW 1414 - Homicide of James Mosley)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the people responsible for shooting and killing a man in the 3900 block of Bridget Court on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at about 11:40 p.m.

 Officers were called for shots being fired in the area. While checking the area, officers found James Patrick Mosley in the parking lot of his townhouse. Mosley had been shot several times. Officers and rescue personnel attempted to resuscitate Mosley, but were unsuccessful. Witnesses described seeing a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt in the area at the time of the shooting. A dark-colored vehicle was also seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly after the shooting.
