Jan.25, 2012 - Credit Card Fraud

January 30, 2012 - His GAIN, His Loss

The man pictured to the left was caught on camera stealing several containers of GAIN detergent from Dollar General, 5760- Hopkins Road.  He fled the area in a green pickup truck.  Please help us identify him.  Kudos to Dollar General for their quality photos! (201201300185)

Dec. 13, 2010 - Alcohol theft

Going back though some photo files, we found this case still unsolved. These two pictured worked together to steal alcohol from the ABC store, 11108 Midlothian Turnpike.  These pictures are EXCELLENT, and someone out there knows who these two are!

Apr. 2 and 5, 2012 - Vending Machine Break-ins

It has happened AGAIN!?! A white male  and female pair (different from the two listed in Crime of the Week 1450) has broken into vending machines at Holiday Inn-Koger Center.  The pictures are excellent.  Please take note, the female suspect was wearing a sweatshirt with "Tigger" stamped on the back.

Mar. 3, 2012 - Larceny from Walmart

Between Wednesday, February 22, 2012 to Saturday, February 25, 2012 three suspects stole approximately 101 assorted video games (Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox) from the Wal-Mart located at 12000 Iron Bridge Plaza. The suspects in this incident are seen removing the games from the display case, and placing the games in a nearby aisle. The suspects later returned with a plastic tote in a shopping cart, and are seen placing all the games into the tote. One of the suspects is later seen pushing the cart out of the store, bypassing the greeters at the exit/entrance. Video surveillance cameras were able to catch a photo of one of the suspects as he entered the store, and as he left with the stolen items. The other suspects in this incident are described as a white female, brown hair last seen wearing a striped shirt, gray jacket, ripped jeans and gloves. The third suspect is only described as a white male.
 

Mar. 13, 2012 - Larceny from Cici's Pizza

On the evening of Saturday, March 10 at approximately 5:00 p.m., two vending machines within Cici's Pizza located at 4900 Commonwealth Center Parkway had been broken into and money taken from them. Video surveillance inside of the game area shows a white male and white female committing the crime. Several hundreds of dollars in quarters were taken from the machines.

Jan. 16, 2012 - Shoplifting from Kroger

The suspect pictured to the left was caught on video sureillance carrying meats and other items out of the Kroger, 2801 Hicks Road.  He was seen getting into a white Chevrolet van, being driven by another black male.

Feb. 29, 2012 - Credit Card Theft

On 2/29/12 a suspect entered the YMCA on Coalfield Rd., entered the locker room, stole the victim's wallet and then used the credit cards at a number of businesses in the area. The same suspect is believed to be involved in a simular incident, at the YMCA located  on Hull Street Road on the same day. In this incident the suspect stole the victims car keys from the locker room, went into the victims car, and stole his wallet with various charge cards in it. The stolen credit were then attempted to be used by the suspect, at the Food Lion located at Hull Street Road and Walmsley Blvd.

Jan. 22, 2012 - Grand Larceny

On Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at about 2:39 p.m. a male suspect can be seen stealing a computer from the Hyatt Place located at 13148 Kingston Avenue.  The suspect is captured on video with a towel draped over the computer, and exiting the hotel through a side door.  The suspect is described as a white or light skinned Hispanic male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a medium to average build, and weighed approximately 180 lbs.

Nov. 9, 2011 - Larceny/ Brandishing Firearm

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 at about 4:00 p.m. a black male shoplifted from the Dollar General located at 7218 Hull Street Road, in the 360 West Shopping Center.  The suspect is believed to have shoplifted T-shirts from this location.  The suspect was confronted by a manager as the suspect left the store, and at this time is when the suspect lifted his shirt exposing a handgun; which was tucked in his waistband.  The suspect was last seen walking away from the store to the parking lot.  It is believed the suspect is driving a 4 door Chrysler or Chevrolet, white in color, and has a Virginia license plate.
 

 
Dec. 31, 2011 - Larceny from vehicle/Fraud

Between 11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 to 1:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, an unknown person stole a purse with various items in it from a vehicle in the parking lot of the TGI Friday's located at 10301 Midlothian Turnpike.  A female suspect was later seen by security cameras using the victims credit/debit cards at various locations throughout the Richmond area.  The female suspect was successful in making numerous fraudulent charges to the victims credit/debit cards.

Dec. 28, 2011 - Ring Theft / Kohls

The two guys pictured to the left just stole a diamond ring from the Kohls, 11331 Midlothian Turnpike.

Oct. 11, 2011 - Cigarette Theft

On October 11, at the Walgreens, 11119 Hull Street Rd., this male subject asked for several cartons of cigarettes.  When they were handed to him, he ran from the store.  Can you help us identify him?

August 22, 2011 - Larceny

On Tuesday, August 16 at about 6:55 p.m. a black male suspect entered the locker room area of the ACAC Midlothian located at 11621 Robious Road and stole a wallet.  The victim did observe the suspect shutting the door to his locker, and later confronted the suspect when he discovered his wallet missing.  At this time the suspect denied any wrong doing and fled the scene.  The suspect is described as a black male between 30 to 40 years old, 6 ft. tall, with a light complexion.  The suspect is also believed to be driving a red two door Chevrolet Monte Carlo (1995 to 1998 model year).
 

August 22, 2011 - Larceny
 

On Thursday, August 18 at approximately 7:20 p.m. a vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the Davis Auto Sales after closing.  While there, two men exited the vehicle and approached the business.  They were later seen stealing vehicle rims from the business.  The suspects loaded the rims into a pickup, which looked to be a white Nissan Frontier.  The first suspect looked to be a white male, bald with a goatee, stocky, and tall.  The second suspect looked to be a white male with glasses, medium build, and medium length hair.   

August 26, 2011 - Copper Theft and Vandalism 

On Friday, August 26 through Saturday, August 27 a white male gained entry onto the property of the Barnett's Heating and Cooling located in the 1200 block of Crowder Road.  While on the property the suspect managed to vandalize the property, and steal copper and various HVAC parts.  This crime had totaled several thousands of dollars in property damage and theft.  Both incidents occurred over night after the business was closed. 

August 16, 2011 - Larceny

On Tuesday, August 16 at about 5:30 p.m. a white male shoplifted from the Virginia ABC Store located at 9949 Hull Street Road, in the Oxbridge Shopping Center.  The suspect is believed to have shoplifted from this location on several different occasions.  The item being stolen by the suspect is ICE 101 Peppermint Liquor.  The suspect is concealing the bottles in his pants and fleeing the store.  It is believed the suspect is driving a newer model work style van with a Virginia plate.

July 27, 2011 - Breaking and Entering

On Wednesday, July 27 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. a home in the 4400 block of Oxbridge Road was broken into.  The suspect pried open a side door to gain entry into the home.  The suspect managed to steal several thousands of dollars of jewelry from the residence.  The suspect was captured on video by a "nanny cam" committing the crime.

June 10, 2011 - Larceny from Auto

On Friday, June 10, 2011 at about 9:25 p.m. a Hispanic female stole property from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Target located at 2530 Weir Road.  The female suspect was seen by security cameras committing the crime.  The female suspect was accompanied by a Hispanic male.  The suspect in this case was also possibly seen driving a green late 80's to early 90's 4 door Honda Civic.

March 7, 2011 - Robbery

On Monday, March 7, 2011 at about 11 p.m. the 7-Eleven Store located at 9700 Jefferson Davis Highway was robbed by two suspects.  The suspects were seen coming from the Perlock Road side of the building before robbing it.  When the suspects entered the store, money was demanded at gunpoint, and both suspects fled the area on foot toward Perlock Road with a sum of money from the business. 

February 29, 2011 - Credit Card Fraud

On Saturday, 02-19-2011 a victim accidently left his debt card in a Bank of America ATM machine located at 10700 Midlothian Turnpike.  After leaving the card at the ATM machine, an unknown suspect pulled up to the ATM in a vehicle and used the bankcard to obtain money from the victims account.  Several withdrawals were made, which resulted in the loss of several hundreds of dollars to the victims account.      

February 25, 2011 - Credit Card Fraud

On Feb. 25, 2011, a victim lost their charge cards in an unknown location.  An unknown black female at the following locations subsequently used the cards fraudulently: HH Gregg, Best Buy, and Outback Steak House.  The location of all the businesses where the crimes took place was all in the Huguenot Road/Chesterfield Towne Center Area.  Charges to the victim’s charge cards totaled more than $3,000.00.   

February 6, 2011 - Larceny

On 02/06/2011, suspect stole five cartons of cigarettes from the Wawa located at 7500 Midlothian Turnpike.  On 02/07/11 at the same Wawa location, a second attempt was made to steal cartons of cigarettes.  The suspects were seen leaving the area in a gray minivan.

January 27, 2011 - Counterfeit Money

On 01-27-2011 a white male attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill to employees of the Penn Station East Coast Subs at 12292 Chattanooga Plaza.  When the suspect was confronted about the counterfeit bill, he immediately left but later returned asking for the bill back.  The suspect is described as a white male, 6’4”, grey hair, and 40 to 50 years old.  Let’s see if we can get him identified.

January 16, 2011 - Attempt Break-in on College Park Ave.

On January 16, the suspect pictured to the left was caught on camera attempting to break into a home on College Park Avenue in Chesterfield County.  The suspect did not get inside, but if we don't catch him...he may take another opportunity at someone else's home.

October 25, 2010 - Credit Card Fraud

A victim was checking her bank account electronically and learned that her account had been overdrawn.  It was determined that her bank card was used fraudulently at numerous businesses in the area, including three in Chesterfield.  The woman pictured to the left was using the card at Walmart, 900 Walmart Way, on Oct. 25, 2010.  Can you help identify her?

December 22, 2010 - Credit Card Theft/Fraud

A victim had his wallet stolen from his car while at Burlington Coat Factory, 10400 Midlothian Turnpike.  His credit cards were used at various locations in the Richmond area, including the ABC Store in Southside Plaza, to purchase items without the owner's consent.

February 25, 2010 – Wig Theft

Between 3 and 3:20 p.m., the woman pictured to the left stole a wig from UNi Beauty Supply Store, 7439 Midlothian Turnpike.  Store employees watched her put a wig into the purse she carried, and when they tried to confront her in the parking lot, she denied the theft, got into the passenger side of a dark mini van and drove off.

11 Mayo 2012 (COW 1456 - La Matanza de Farooq Anwar)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para capturar a la persona o personas quienes le dispararon y mataron a Farooq Anwar en su almacén Fast and Friendly ubicado en 6249 Jefferson Davis Highway el miércoles 18 de julio de 2007.

Un cliente descubrió el cuerpo de Anwar alrededor de las 11:30 p.m. y llamó al 911. Los investigadores creen que el robo pudo haber sido el motivo.

Este caso fue considerado El Crimen de la Semana el 1 de mayo de 2009. La familia de Anwar continúa manteniendo contacto con los investigadores y todavía están ofreciendo una recompensa adicional de $5.000 por información que lleve al arresto y condena de la persona/personas responsables por este crimen.

20 Abril 2012 (COW 1453 - Un Ladrón Armado)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un ladrón armado.

Aproximadamente a las 10:20 p.m. del lunes 9 de abril, un hombre vistiendo un gorra de medias sobre su cabeza y rostro se le acercó a la dependiente de Sun Tan City en 11417 Midlothian Turnpike. Él apuntó un arma oscura a la dependiente y a muchos clientes y exigió que ellos pusieran el dinero dentro de una bolsa de nailon que llevaba. Después se fue hacia un Burger King cercano. 

El sospechoso es un hombre negro, 20-29 años de edad, aproximadamente 5 pies 8 pulgadas de estatura y de contextura robusta. Estaba vistiendo ropa oscura con café y botas tipo  Timberland.

6 Abril 2012 (Robo de los Bicicletas de Montañisimo)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de irrumpir, traspasar y de un hurto de gran cuantía.

El viernes 30 de marzo entre las 12 a.m. y 6:50 a.m., un garaje en el bloque 13600 Woods Edge Road fue abierto. El sospechoso o sospechosos cortaron una abertura en la cerradura de la puerta, entraron al garaje y robaron varias bicicletas de montañismo las que están avaluadas en miles de dólares.

Las descripciones de las bicicletas de montañismo son:

30 Marzo 2012 (COW 1450 - Forzando Máquinas Dispensadores)

El sábado 12 de febrero, un hombre fue capturado en las cámaras de seguridad forzando muchas máquinas dispensadoras de productos en Sheraton Park South, 9901 Midlothian Turnpike. El sospechoso era un hombre blanco en sus 20s o cerca de los 30s y tenía la cabeza pelada.

Después, el jueves 23 de febrero, otro hombre blanco fue cogido en cámara forzando máquinas dispensadoras en Holiday Inn-Koger Center, 1021 Koger Center Boulevard. Era un hombre blanco en sus 20s. Era delgado y estaba vistiendo una sudadera oscura, con gorro y una gráfica blanca en el frente, una gorra de beisbolista girada hacia atrás, pantalones claros y zapatos negros.

Los investigadores de los dos casos creen que ambos hombres están relacionados.

23 Marzo 2012 (COW 1449 - Robaron Turbo Tax)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un grupo de personas quienes robaron un total de 78 copias del programa  Turbo Tax.

El domingo 11 de marzo, alrededor de la 1 p.m., dos mujeres negras y un hombre negro entraron al Sam's Club de 901 Walmart Way. La cámara de vigilancia muestra a dos de los sospechosos vaciando la vitrina del programa Turbo Tax dentro de un carrito de compras. Una de las mujeres es más tarde vista poniendo todo lo de Turbo Tax en un maletín grande  mientras estaba de pie en uno de los pasillos. Un poco más tarde, la misma mujer es vista saliendo con el maletín sobre el hombro derecho y dirigiéndose al parqueadero. Un poco después, los otros sospechosos salen del almacén y se cree que todos abordaron un Ford Taurus azul claro. Basados en la información de supervisión de Sam's Club, se cree que los mismos sospechosos cometieron el mismo tipo de robo en Sam's Club de Broad Street en el Condado de Henrico.

16 Marzo 2012 (COW 1448 - Un Robo de Tarjeta de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a una mujer quien utilizó una tarjeta de crédito robada  y no estaba demostrando ser el mejor ejemplo.

En las horas de la tarde del jueves 22 de diciembre de 2011, una clienta se le acercó a una cajera en Walmart, 671 Southpark Boulevard. Ella compró un lector electrónico Kindle Fire y un teléfono prepago con una tarjeta de crédito. La mujer entonces intentó hacer una segunda compra de dos Kindles más, pero la transacción fue negada. Más tarde, el establecimiento supo que la tarjeta de crédito había sido robada a una mujer en el Condado de Dinwiddie.

Cámaras de vigilancia no solo capturaron imágenes de la sospechosa sino que la muestran con tres niños. Ella parece estar en sus 30’s y estaba vistiendo pantalones oscuros, una camisa negra manga larga y una gorra azul.

9 Marzo 2012 (COW 1447 - Incendio Provocado)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver una serie de incendios premeditados en los que aproximadamente 15 incendios han sido realizados en la subdivisión de Walton Park entre el lunes 5 de diciembre y el sábado 3 de marzo de 2012.

Los primeros incendios fueron iniciados en varias áreas a través de la subdivisión. Once incendios empezaron dentro del bloque 400 de Walton Park Road. Los incendios están siendo iniciados en el camino o cerca del camino. Muchos materiales diferentes como ropas, papel, periódicos y basuras han sido usados para sostener las llamas.

2 Marzo 2012 (COW 1446 - Un Asalto en Marshall's)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un ladrón quien empeoró su situación.

El jueves 2 de febrero alrededor de las 4:25 p.m., dos hombres negros entraron a Marshall's, 4020 Meadowdale Blvd. Uno vestía un buzo con gorro gris y el otro vestía una chaqueta roja. El oficial de prevención de pérdidas vio cuando el hombre del gorro gris puso en sus pantalones una camisa polo. Cuando ese hombre caminaba hacia la salida, el oficial de prevención de pérdidas lo confrontó e intentó pararlo. El sospechoso luchó con el oficial de prevención de pérdidas y eventualmente lo golpeó en la cara y salió del almacén. Él y el sospechoso de chaqueta roja fueron vistos saliendo del parqueadero en un Ford Taurus blanco.

24 Feb. 2012 (COW 1445 - Robo)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar al sospechoso quien robó al gerente de Little Caesars Pizza quien estaba intentando hacer un depósito en un banco local. Durante el robo, un hombre negro se le acercó al gerente, le quitó al gerente de sus manos la bolsa de depósito y corrió a un vehículo que lo esperaba.

 El robo ocurrió afuera de la sucursal del Banco SunTrust localizada dentro del almacén Kroger en 2801 Hicks Road el sábado 11 de febrero alrededor de las 9:40 a.m. El sospechoso en este robo es descrito vistiendo un gorro negro, media máscara y chaqueta negra y tenis Nike. El sospechoso es un hombre negro, 6 pies 3 pulgadas de estatura y de peso aproximado a 155 libras. Se cree que el sospechoso iba en un Toyota Camry u Honda Accord, cuatro puertas y de color plateado o gris.

17 Feb. 2012 (COW 1444 - Defraudar a un Almacén de Ropa de Mujer)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar una sospechosa quien defraudó un almacén de ropa de mujer en Colonial Heights.

El jueves 2 de febrero, tres mujeres entraron al almacén Upstairs en el centro Comercial  Southpark justo antes de las 6 p.m. Una de las mujeres trajo aproximadamente $460 en artículos de vestuario a la registradora y presentó una tarjeta de regalo VISA. Mientras la cajera pasaba la tarjeta a lo que parecía ser una transacción aprobada, el lector de tarjetas dejó de funcionar.  Estando con sospecha de lo que sucedió con la máquina,  la dependiente contactó más tarde al banco mostrado en la tarjeta y el banco le explicó que la transacción había sido rechazada una vez el lector de tarjetas estuvo operando de nuevo.

10 Febrero 2012 (COW 1443 - Robaron el BB&T)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a un sospechoso a quien la policía cree cometió un robo y un intento de robo en el sur del Condado de Chesterfield. En cada crimen, un hombre blanco entró a la sucursal del Banco BB&T de 5756 Hopkins Road, inmediatamente se le acercó a la cajera y le pasó una nota exigiendo el dinero.

El primer incidente en el cual el sospechoso robó el efectivo del banco ocurrió el lunes 23 de enero alrededor de las 12:21 p.m. El intento de robo ocurrió el lunes 30 de enero alrededor de las 12:44 p.m. durante el incidente, el sospechoso no se llevó el efectivo. El sospechoso en ambos incidentes es descrito como un hombre blanco entre los 30 y 40 años de edad, 180 libras de peso, 5 pies 6 pulgadas de estatura y vestía un gorro azul tejido y gafas para el sol.

3 Febrero 2012 (COW 1442 - El Robo de Calcomanías de Inspección)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un caso que involucra el robo de calcomanías de inspección de vehículos de Virginia.

Desde el 3 de enero de 2012, calcomanías de inspección de vehículos de Virginia han sido robadas de dos sitios en la Jefferson Davis Highway. El primer incidente ocurrió en Elders Garage en 14900 Jefferson Davis Highway. De ese almacén, libros de calcomanías de rechazo e inspección de motocicletas fueron robados. El segundo robo ocurrió en Garland's Auto Repair, 7207 Jefferson Davis Highway; libros de calcomanías de inspección básica de vehículos fueron robados de ese sitio.

Los oficiales de la ley quieren recordar a los ciudadanos que aceptar a conciencia una calcomanía de inspección de vehículos robada no es una ofensa sencilla de tránsito, es un crimen.

27 Enero 2012 (COW 1441 - Robaron el Royal Nails)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar al sospechoso quien robó un salón de arreglo de uñas en el Norte del Condado de Chesterfield. Durante el robo, un hombre negro entró al almacén e inmediatamente se le acercó a los empleados, desplegó un arma de fuego y se llevó el efectivo.

El robo ocurrió en Royal Nails en el bloque 10000 de Robious Road el martes 17 de enero alrededor de las 8:10 p.m. El sospechoso en este robo es descrito vistiendo una chaqueta de gorra negra, una sudadera gris y una máscara para esquiar y de una pigmentación café. El sospechoso mide 5 pies 3 pulgadas de estatura y pesa aproximadamente 120 libras.

20 Enero 2012 (COW 1440 - Irrumpiendo en una casa)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un caso que involucra irrumpir en una casa y el fraude con una tarjeta de crédito.

Entre las 10:30 a.m. y las 11 a.m. del viernes 4 de noviembre de 2011, alguien entró a una casa en Duckridge Terrace en el Condado de Chesterfield. Una vez adentro, el sospechoso o sospechosos robaron una computadora portátil Dell y una cartera con efectivo y tarjetas de crédito. Muy poco después, la tarjeta de crédito LL Bean de la víctima fue usada  para hacer comparas por más de $800, que incluyen $187 de compras en una estación local de WaWa. Un intento de compra fue hecho en un Shoe City en Southside Plaza, pero la transacción fue negada.

12 Enero 2012 (COW 1439 - Robaron el Golden Corral)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a dos hombres quienes robaron el Golden Corral de 11 S. Providence Road el sábado 7 de enero de 2012, alrededor de las 11:30 p.m.

Los sospechosos se le acercaron a un grupo de empleados en el parqueadero de Golden Corral y obligaron al gerente y a otros empleados a entrar al edificio y después a una oficina trasera. Uno de los sospechosos ordenó al gerente a punta de pistola abrir la caja de seguridad. Después de que el gerente no pudo abrir la caja, los sospechosos tomaron algo de dinero que no estaba en la caja de seguridad. Los sospechosos fueron vistos por última vez corriendo hacia la subdivisión Providence Green. Los testigos describieron a los sospechosos como hombres negros enmascarados, 5 pies 10 pulgadas de estatura, vestían guantes y ropa oscura y armados con pistolas.

6 Enero 2012 (COW 1438 - Un Accidente)

El Departamento de Policía del Condado de Chesterfield está investigando un accidente que ocurrió el jueves 15 de diciembre de 2011 y la policía le ha solicitado al programa Crime Solvers su asistencia.

Entre las 8:15 p.m. y 8:30 p.m., la víctima de la camioneta estaba siendo seguida muy de cerca en Old Bermuda Hundred Road mientras viajaba hacia el oriente. Cuando los vehículos se acercaban a Lawing Drive, el vehículo acosador pasó el carro de la víctima. Por hacer esto,  el vehículo pasado cruzó la doble línea amarilla hacia el tráfico que venía. Para evitar un potencial y fatal accidente, la víctima viró fuera del camino y se chocó contra un árbol. La víctima y un pasajero fueron transportados al hospital con lesiones graves para sus vidas. Ambos están recuperándose de sus lesiones.

2 Dec. 2011 (COW 1433 - Vandalismo en Dos Escuelas)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield necesita su ayuda para identificar y localizar a los sospechosos involucrados en dos casos de vandalismo en dos escuelas locales.

Entre la noche del jueves 10 de noviembre y la mañana del viernes 11 de noviembre alguien vandalizó dos trailers usados como salones de clases y un vehículo de enseñanza de conducción en la Escuela de Secundaria Thomas Dale, 3626 W. Hundred Road. Los vándalos rompieron varias ventanas del salón de clases y causaron muchos daños al vehículo de enseñanza de conducción rompiendo varias de sus ventanas, extrayendo partes y dañando el interior del vehículo.  Más tarde, los vándalos fueron a la Escuela Elemental Curtis, 3600 W. Hundred Road y dañaron muchos buses estacionados en la escuela. Conjuntamente, los daños de los hechos vandálicos de las dos escuelas están estimados en cientos de dólares.

4 Noviembre 2011 (COW 1429 - Robo de un Anillo)

El miércoles 28 de septiembre alrededor de las 6:55 p.m., un hombre entró a la joyería Reeds en el Centro Comercial Chesterfield Towne Center y robó un anillo. El hombre entró al almacén, se le acercó al vendedor y pidió ver un anillo de compromiso. Una vez el vendedor le presentó el anillo, el sospechoso giró y salió corriendo del almacén con el anillo. El anillo está valorado en miles de dólares.

El sospechoso es un hombre negro, posiblemente entre los 30 y 35 años de edad. Vestía uniforme médico de color azul oscuro con una camiseta de color vino tinto debajo. Tenía un pequeño bigote y tenía un movimiento en el ojo izquierdo como un tic. Un testigo pudo haber visto entrar al sospechoso a un Nissan Máxima o Altima blanco con placas amarillas de New York.

28 Octubre 2011 (COW 1428 - El Vandalismo de St. Michael's)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y localizar a los sospechosos involucrados en el vandalismo de una escuela  local.

Entre la noche del viernes 7 de octubre y la mañana del sábado 8 de octubre, alguien irrumpió en la Escuela San Michael, 8706 Quaker Lane. Una vez adentro, el sospechoso o sospechosos revolvieron y registraron de arriba a abajo muchas áreas de la escuela. Latas de pintura en aerosol fueron sacadas de un área de almacenamiento y las usaron para pintar dibujos y frases relacionadas a las drogas en todo el interior y en el patio de juegos de la escuela. Los escritorios fueron volteados, el papel fue tirado sobre el piso, equipo de deportes fue también esparcido por todo el gimnasio, mostradores de vidrio fueron rotos y las lámparas fluorescentes fueron despedazadas.

El daño fue extenso y los detectives están buscando pistas en este caso.

21 Oct. 2011 (COW 1427 - Robo en el Almacén Dyson's)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a los sospechosos a quienes la policía cree que cometieron dos robos en el sur del Condado de Chesterfield. En cada robo, hombres negros entraron al almacén e inmediatamente se le acercaron al despachador, desplegaron armas de fuego y exigieron el dinero del almacén.

El primer robo ocurrió en el Almacén Dyson's en River Road el viernes 16 de septiembre alrededor de las 7:50 p.m. Además durante el hecho en Dyson's robaron una pequeña pistola semiautomática, calibre .25. El segundo robo ocurrió en Market Place en Harrowgate Road el sábado 17 de septiembre alrededor de las 10:40 p.m.

14 Oct. 2011 (COW 1427 - Robo a un Cajero Automático)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y localizar a los sospechosos involucrados en un robo a un cajero automático  (ATM, siglas en inglés).

Temprano en la mañana del sábado 8 de octubre, oficiales de Chesterfield respondieron a la llamada de alarma del Banco BB&T localizado en 5756 Hopkins Road. Cuando los oficiales llegaron descubrieron rápidamente que alguien había desgarrado el panel frontal del cajero y tomado el dinero de su interior.

Hubo al menos dos personas involucradas en el robo. Uno de los sospechosos estaba vistiendo ropa oscura, una máscara oscura y una gorra oscura de béisbol. La furgoneta usada en el crimen había sido robada y los ladrones la abandonaron poco después del robo al cajero.

7 Octubre 2011 (COW 1425 - Muerte Sospechosa)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un caso que involucra la muerte sospechosa de un hombre en Hopewell. El sábado 30 de julio de 2011, alrededor de las 5:46 p.m., un reporte de un paquete sospechoso en la arboleda del bloque 2100 Point of Rocks Road fue hecho a la policía.

Cuando los oficiales llegaron, encontraron el cuerpo de un hombre. Más tarde el hombre fue identificado como Sean Bland, del bloque 400 N. Tenth Ave., Hopewell. El señor Bland tenía 25 años de edad al momento de su muerte. Fue encontrado vistiendo una camiseta gris, pantalones cortos y tenis Reebok. El cuerpo del señor Bland fue encontrado envuelto en ropa de cama.

23 Sept. 2011 (COW 1423 - Homicido en el Centro Comercial Cloverleaf)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de doble homicidio en un caso archivado.

 El jueves 7 de noviembre de 1996, Charlita Singleton y Cheryl Edwards esteban trabajando en  el almacén All For One en el Centro Comercial Cloverleaf. Al día siguiente, la familia de Charlita llamó a la policía porque ella no regresó a la casa del trabajo. La policía descubrió los cuerpos de ambas mujeres dentro de la oficina del almacén.    

 En el momento de sus muertes, ambas mujeres tenían niños pequeños. Estos niños han tenido que crecer sin sus madres. Estas familias necesitan respuestas. Por favor ayúdelos, ayudando a la policía a resolver estas muertes y llevar a los responsables a la justicia.

16 Sept. 2011 (COW 1422 - Robo de Tarjeta de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para capturar a un sospechoso de fraude con tarjeta de crédito.

 El jueves 11 de agosto, un hombre usó una tarjeta de crédito robada para comprar ropa en Macy's del Centro Comercial Southpark en Colonial Heights. El mismo sospechoso intentó usar la tarjeta de crédito para comprar electrónicos del Wal-Mart en Colonial Heights, pero la compra fue declinada debido a que la tarjeta había sido cancelada. Fue determinado que las tarjetas de crédito fueron robadas de vehículos en Hopewell y Petersburg ese mismo día.

 El sospechoso es descrito como un hombre negro. En ambos casos, el sospechoso vestía zapatos negros con medias blancas y una gorra blanca y azul con el logo de New Orleans Saints.

9 Septiembre 2011 (COW 1421 - Violación de Domicilio)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso de la violación de domicilio.

EL miércoles 27 de julio, entre 1:30 p.m. y 3 p.m., una casa en el bloque 4400 de Oxbridge Road fue irrumpida. El sospechoso logró abrir una puerta lateral para ganar acceso a la casa y poder robar cientos de dólares en joyas de la residencia. Una "cámara nanny" capturó un video del sospechoso cometiendo el crimen.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco, posiblemente entre 30 y 35 años de edad. Vestía una camisa estilo polo con un logo de una compañía en el lado derecho, pantalones largos, una bolsa como de mensajero y una especie de cordón amarrado al cuello.

2 Septiembre 2011 (COW 1420 - Robo de Mike's Auto)

El sábado 25 de junio, alrededor del medio día, una mujer estaba dentro de Mike's Auto, 100 Turner Road, sentada cerca de la puerta trasera. Ella vio lo que parecía ser una persona pequeña viendo entre los carros. Esa persona entonces llegó hasta el negocio vistiendo una mascara en su cara y exigió el dinero de la caja de seguridad. El sospechoso se enojó cuando supo que no había dinero en el negocio, golpeó a la víctima por lo menos dos veces en la cabeza con la culata de una pistola y encerró a la víctima en el baño. Antes de salir, robó el celular de la víctima y el celular que pertenece a Mike's Auto. Salió usando la puerta trasera y se fue en dirección desconocida.

 El sospechoso es descrito como un joven negro, posiblemente entre 12 y 16 años de edad. Mide aproximadamente 5 pies, 2 pulgadas de estatura, 110 libras con un mentón pronunciado. Vestía una camisa de manga larga y pantalones largos, un sombrero de alas flexibles, guantes y máscara de esquiar.

26 Agosto 2011 (COW 1419 - Robar Tarjetas)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a las personas responsables de robar tarjetas de crédito de algunas personas en teatros locales en Midlothian. Las tarjetas de crédito fueron utilizadas después para hacer compras en Old Navy, Target, Best Buy y en varios restaurantes en Chesterfield. Los crímenes tomaron lugar del domingo 7 de agosto al domingo 14 de agosto.

En estos casos, miles de dólares fueron cargados a las tarjetas de crédito de las víctimas. Las sospechosas son descritas como dos mujeres negras. Las sospechosas fueron fotografiadas por cámaras de seguridad haciendo compras en un almacén Target.
 

19 Agosto 2011 (COW 1418 - Fraude con Tarjeta de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un sospechoso en un caso de fraude con tarjeta de crédito.

 El miércoles 22 de junio, aproximadamente a las 9:30 a.m., una mujer dejó su billetera cerca a la bomba de gasolina Sheetz, 2053 Huguenot Road en Chesterfield. Un cliente quien estaba cerca, tomó la billetera y en lugar de devolvérsela a la mujer, este tomó la billetera y la puso en su carro. Imágenes de la cámara de vigilancia muestran entonces como el hombre está sacando algo de la billetera mientras está en la gasolinera. Él entró al almacén, pagó por la gasolina en efectivo, posiblemente tomado de la billetera y abandonó el área en su carro.

 El sospechoso es un hombre negro en sus 40s o cerca a los 50s, aproximadamente 5 pies, 10 pulgadas de estatura con un bigote delgado y barba. Estaba vistiendo una camiseta gris, pantalones vaqueros, gafas con lentes café y una gorra azul con letrero dorado. Conducía un sedan, cuatro puertas, posiblemente un Toyota Camry.

12 Agosto 2011 (COW 1417 - Una Tarjeta de Banco Robada/Walmart)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un hombre quien utilizó una tarjeta de banco robada.

 El 10 de noviembre de 2010, un hombre utilizó una tarjeta de banco robada para comprar un sistema PlayStation de $400 en el Walmart de 12000 Iron Bridge Road en Chester. Desafortunadamente, la tarjeta que él estaba usando no era suya. La víctima quien había perdido su tarjeta el 10 de noviembre, descubrió el cargo fraudulento dos días después cuando reportó a su banco su tarjeta como perdida.

 El hombre visto usando la tarjeta es un hombre negro, posiblemente en sus 20s. Tiene una barbita de chivo bien cortada y estaba vistiendo una gorra oscura y un saco oscuro de rombos.

5 Agosto 2011 (COW 1416 - Tiroteo)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights está solicitando su ayuda para resolver un tiroteo ocurrido en 1991.

En octubre 4 de 1991, Walter H. Eley estaba cerrando lo que era el Supermercado Ettrick Supermarket en 3615 E. River Road en Chesterfield alrededor de las 10 p.m. Mientras él caminaba a su carro con la bolsa de depósito del almacén, un Cadillac blanco o crema llegó hasta el parqueadero y bloqueó su carro. Un hombre salió del lado del pasajero, se le acercó a Eley y le exigió el dinero. El sospechoso le disparó a Eley tres veces con una pistola de calibre pequeño y salió de la escena. Afortunadamente, Eley sobrevivió a las heridas.

El sospechoso era un hombre negro, gordo, entre 30 a 40 años de edad.

8 Julio 2011 (COW 1412 - Un Robo a Uriel Trucking)

Un conductor de camión robó a otro conductor de camión en el Condado de Chesterfield y el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda esta semana para identificarlo.

El 13 de junio, alrededor de las 6:40 p.m., el conductor de un camión claro Freightliner, parqueó un trailer en el lote de Uriel Trucking, 5436 Jefferson Davis Highway y después salió del lote. El camión regresó poco antes de las 10 p.m. y el conductor reconectó el tráiler al camión. Equipo de seguridad mostró al sujeto mirando hacia dentro de la oficina, después intentó tener acceso a otro camión que estaba parqueado en el lote. Después él se acercó a otro camión y pudo abrirlo y robó un equipo radial CB. El camión del sospechoso salió del lote muchos minutos después de las 10 p.m.

El sospechoso era un hombre negro quien parece estar vistiendo ropas claras. El camión que estaba conduciendo no tiene logos de ninguna compañía, al igual que el tráiler.

24 Junio 2011 (COW 1410 - Un robo de Cigarrillos Marlboro)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda esta semana para capturar a un ladrón.

 El domingo 26 de diciembre, aproximadamente a las 7:40 p.m., una caja que contenía 22 cartones de cigarrillos Marlboro fue robada del Wawa de 3850 North Bailey Bridge Road en el Condado de Chesterfield. El sospechoso parqueó su furgoneta en la estación de gasolina y entró al almacén sin poner gasolina. Después caminó hasta donde la caja con los cigarrillos estaba y rápidamente tomó la caja y la metió en su vehículo, dejando caer algunos cartones en la salida y huyó en dirección oriente por la Hull Street Road.

 El sospechoso es un hombre negro, 35-40 años de edad. Vestía camisa amarilla brillante, estilo polo, de mangas cortas con una camisa negra de mangas largas debajo y una gorra negra similar a las medias en su cabeza. El vehículo que manejaba era una furgoneta Ford plateada.

27 Mayo 2011 (COW 1406 - Un Robo a AT&T)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda esta semana para resolver un caso de robo de una tienda.

El lunes 28 de marzo, dos sospechosos trabajaron juntos para robar dos teléfonos iPhone 4 del almacén AT&T localizado en 721-a Southpark Boulevard. Uno de los sospechosos aflojó las restricciones de seguridad de los teléfonos mientras que estos reposaban en los mostradores y el segundo sospechoso lo seguía detrás y removió los teléfonos de los mostradores dejando las ataduras de seguridad. Los teléfonos fueron avaluados en más de $1.000.

El primer sospechoso es un hombre negro, robusto, 18-25 años de edad, vestía camiseta polo a rayas, pantalones azules y una gorra azul con un diseño dorado en el frente. El segundo sospechoso también es negro, 18-25 años de edad, tiene pelo corto y vestía pantalones negros, chaqueta negra y camiseta negra con un diseño rosado brillante en el frente.

20 Mayo 2011 (COW 1405 - Un Robo a Buffalo Wild Wings)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a dos hombres quienes robaron Buffalo Wild Wings de 12056 Southshore Pointe Road el lunes 18 de octubre del 2010 alrededor de las 9:10 a.m.

Los sospechosos entraron al negocio por una puerta sin seguro y obligaron al gerente y a otros empleados a ir a una oficina trasera. Uno de los sospechosos a punta de pistola obligó al gerente a abrir una caja de seguridad y después de que los sospechosos recibieron el dinero encerraron a los empleados en el refrigerador. Los testigos describieron al primer sospechoso como un hombre negro enmascarado, 5 pies, 9 pulgadas de estatura y 210 libras. El segundo sospechoso es descrito como un hombre negro enmascarado, 6 pies, 2 pulgadas de estatura y 210 libras.

13 de Mayo 2011 (COW 1404 - Un Robo a Roadrunner Convenience)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda esta semana para resolver un caso de robo armado.

El domingo 27 de febrero, aproximadamente a las 8:50 a.m., un hombre blanco llegó al Almacén Roadrunner Convenience con su cara cubierta. Él estaba sosteniendo una pistola plateada o cromada mientras exigía el dinero del almacén. El sospechoso se alejó con dirección al Motel Colbrook después de obtener el dinero, muchos paquetes de cigarrillos Newport y dos tubos de vidrio usados para fumar.

El sospechoso es un hombre blanco entre los 18 y 25 años de edad. Fue descrito como de 5 pies, 8 pulgadas de estatura, 145 libras de peso, ojos azules y cabello café no muy largo. Vestía ropa deportiva, guantes anaranjados, un gorro azul  tejido y una pañoleta azul con la que cubría su cara.

6 Mayo 2011 (COW 1403 - El Robo del Banco Wachovia)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a la persona quien robó el Banco Wachovia de 7202 Midlothian Turnpike el lunes 18 de abril.

 El sospechoso entró al banco alrededor de las 2 p.m. y le presentó al cajero una nota exigiendo dinero. Después de que el sospechoso recibió el dinero del cajero, salió caminando hacia la ciudad de Richmond. El sospechoso es descrito como un hombre blanco en sus 30s ó 40s, 5 pies, 8 pulgadas de altura y de contextura delgada. El sospechoso fue fotografiado durante el incidente vistiendo una sudadera gris con pantalones oscuros, gorra y gafas para el sol.

15 Abril 2011 (COW 1400 - El Robo de un Bolso)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a una mujer involucrada en un caso de fraude con tarjeta débito.

El 14 de febrero, la víctima estaba comiendo en el restaurante Uno's en Prince George y dejó su bolso en el carro. Mientras ella estaba en el restaurante, alguien robó su bolso. Aproximadamente a las 8:17 p.m., alguien usó su tarjeta para retirar dinero de un cajero automático de Virginia Credit Union ubicado en Temple Lake Drive en Colonial Heights.

Video de la cámara de vigilancia anexa al cajero grabó imágenes de una sospechosa usando la tarjeta. Ella es una mujer negra y vestía un abrigo pesado con piel en el gorro y de gafas.

8 Abril 2011 (COW 1399 - Robo de Identidad) 

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un caso de robo de identidad en el cual retiros de dinero fueron hechos fraudulentamente a una víctima el viernes, 18 de marzo del 2011. 

El sospechoso logró retirar varios miles de dólares de la víctima en tres ocasiones. El sospechoso en el caso está presentando documentación falsa, asumiendo la identidad de la víctima en este crimen. Una de las transacciones ocurrió en el Bank of America localizado en 2601 Buford Road y las otras dos transacciones en sucursales del Bank of America en el Condado de Henrico. El sospechoso fue fotografiado por cámaras de seguridad mientras hacía las transacciones. El sospechoso parece ser un hombre de mediana edad blanco o latino.

25 Marzo 2011 (COW 1397 - Robar las Tarjetas de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un robo en el cual tarjetas de crédito fueron robadas a una víctima el viernes 25 de febrero del 2011.

 La sospechosa logró robar las tarjetas de crédito de la víctima y las utilizó para hacer compras fraudulentas a lo largo del Condado de Chesterfield. Miles de dólares en compras fueron hechas con las tarjetas de la víctima. La sospechosa fue fotografiada por cámaras de seguridad haciendo una transacción en HH Gregg localizado en 1321 Huguenot Road. 11 Feb. 2011 (COW 1391 - Homicidio)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a las personas responsables de disparar y matar a un hombre en el bloque 3900 de Bridget Court el viernes 12 de noviembre del 2010, alrededor de las 11:40 p.m.

Oficiales fueron inicialmente llamados por un tiroteo ocurrido en el área. Los oficiales encontraron la víctima mientras revisaban el área. La víctima, James Patrick Mosley recibió varios impactos de bala en el parqueadero de su casa. Los oficiales y personal de rescate intentaron resucitar a Mosley pero no tuvieron suerte. Testigos describieron haber visto un hombre negro vistiendo una sudadera oscura y con gorra en la zona en el momento del tiroteo. Un vehículo oscuro también fue visto dejando el área a una gran velocidad poco después del tiroteo.

28 Ene.2011 (COW 1389 - Robar de Tarjetas de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver dos robos separados en los cuales tarjetas de crédito fueron robadas a las víctimas en el Hospital Johnston Willis el martes 28 de septiembre del 2010 y viernes 10 de diciembre del 2010.

El sospechoso entró a las oficinas de dos empleados y robó sus billeteras de sus bolsos y después utilizó las tarjetas de crédito para hacer compras fraudulentas en el Condado de  Chesterfield y la Ciudad de Richmond. Miles de dólares en compras y retiros fueron hechos con las tarjetas de las víctimas. El sospechoso fue fotografiado por cámaras de seguridad haciendo una transacción en el Target localizado en 11301 Midlothian Turnpike. El sospechoso parece estar en los cuarenta años y puede ser blanco o latino.

30 Dic. 2010 (COW 1385 - Robar de Tarjetas de Crédito)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a las personas responsables de robar las tarjetas de crédito de una víctima en el Restaurante Cracker Barrel en Chester y una víctima en Panera Bread en Colonial Heights. Las tarjetas de crédito fueron usadas después para hacer compras en los almacenes Target y Best Buy en Colonial Heights. Los crímenes tomaron lugar el sábado 6 de noviembre.

En estos casos miles de dólares fueron cargados a las tarjetas de crédito de las víctimas. Los sospechosos son descritos como dos hombres negros y una mujer negra. Los sospechosos fueron fotografiados por cámaras de seguridad mientras hacían las compras en los almacenes.

3 Diciembre 2010 (COW 1381 - Robo en American Family Fitness Center)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a la persona responsable de robar efectivo y tarjetas de crédito de un vehículo parqueado en American Family Fitness Center ubicado en 501 East Roslyn Road y después utilizó las tarjetas de crédito para hacer compras en Wal-Mart de Colonial Heights. Los crímenes tomaron lugar el miércoles 10 de noviembre entre la 1 y 2:45 p.m.

En este caso, cientos de dólares en mercancía fueron cargados a las tarjetas de crédito de la víctima. El sospechoso es descrito como un hombre negro como de 20 años. El sospechoso fue fotografiado por las cámaras de seguridad vistiendo una gorra tejida, gafas y una sudadera oscura con gorro y algo escrito en el frente.

26 Nov. 2010 (COW 1380 - Un Caso De Golpear Y Correr)

Esta semana el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para resolver un inusual caso de golpear y correr.

Un hombre estaba conduciendo una motocicleta en el norte de Harrowgate Road y entró en el carril para girar a la derecha en la Ruta 10, también conocida como Iron Bridge Road. Mientras estaba en la línea para girar, una furgoneta canela abruptamente se hizo en el mismo carril para girar, forzando al motociclista a frenar firmemente. El ciclista se hizo a un lado de la furgoneta y verbalmente confrontó al conductor. El conductor de la furgoneta respondió con disgusto para después usando la punta de la furgoneta empujar al motociclista antes de dirigirse al oriente por la Ruta 10.

El conductor de la furgoneta fue descrito como un hombre negro con cabello total o parcialmente gris.

19 Nov. 2010 (COW 1380 - Hombre Quien Robó James Mart)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a un hombre quien robó James Mart localizado en 14103 Harrowgate Road el sábado 4 de septiembre alrededor 9:30 p.m.

El sospechoso se le acercó a un empleado, demandó el dinero a punta de pistola y después salió caminando en dirección desconocida. El sospechoso es descrito como un hombre negro, vistiendo ropa oscura con una máscara de cacería estilo camuflada. El sospechoso también vestía una gorra oscura con una “Y” y además le fue vista una maleta negra y roja.

12 Nov. 2010 (Crimen de la Semana 1378)

Esta semana, el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar una sospechosa que usaba cheques falsificados y robo de identidades.

La señora presento cheques a tres bancos diferentes en el Condado de Chesterfield, todos escritos con el apellido de Massie. Una cajera del banco reconocío la cuenta y también conoce a la poseadora de cuenta personalmente.  La cajera de banco se comúnico inmediatamente con la poseadora de cuenta y descubrió que los cheques eran fraudulentos. Antes de cerrar la cuents, la suma de miles, en cheques, habian sido cobrados. Investigadores localisaron a la señora Massie, que supuestamente su identificación fue presentado durante las transaciónes, y realizaron que ella y otra señora eran victimas de robo de identidad.

La sospechosa era una mujer morena. Aproximadamente 5 pies 5 pulgadas de estatura, pesa 170 libras, con una tez oscura y el cabello en estilo largo con trenzas.

29 Oct. 2010 (Crimen de la Semana 1376 - Una Tarjeta de Crédito robada/CVS)

Esta semana el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita ayuda para identificar a dos hombres quienes usaron una tarjeta de crédito robada.

Un empleado del almacén CVS ubicado en 10100 Robious Road contactó a la policía después de que un sospechoso intentó usar una tarjeta de crédito para comprar una tarjeta prepago de regalo Visa. El empleado notó que la información personal en la tarjeta no coincidía con el sospechoso quien presentaba la tarjeta y la transacción fue declinada. Desafortunadamente, otro almacén aceptó la tarjeta en la compra de dos tarjetas de regalo Visa. 

Los sospechosos son dos hombres negros en sus 20s. Quien presentó la tarjeta robada mide aproximadamente 6 pies de estatura, 180 libras de peso, vestía camisa negra, pantalones cortos de color caqui y una gorra oscura de Colorado Rockies. El segundo hombre mide aproximadamente 6 pies, 5 pulgadas de estatura, 230 libras de peso y vestía una camisa verde clara y una banda amarilla en el puño.

22 Oct. 2010 (COW 1375)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar y encontrar a dos hombres quienes le dispararon a un hombre mientras intentaban robarle el viernes 24 de septiembre alrededor de las 11:20 p.m.

Los sospechosos se le acercaron a dos hombres a punta de pistola en el bloque 6300 de Jefferson Davis Highway e intentaron despojarlos de su efectivo. Durante el robo, un tiro fue disparado a uno de los hombres. La víctima recibió una herida de arma de fuego que no amenazaba su vida. Los sospechosos salieron del área caminando hacia la Jefferson Davis Highway y son descritos como hombres negros, en sus 20s y vestían todo de negro.

Octubre 1. 2010 (Crimen de la Semana 1372 - Robo en Walmart)

Esta semana, el programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a un hombre quien robó a dos empleados de Walmart en  Colonial Heights.

Durante las horas de la noche del martes 10 de agosto, un hombre negro entró al Walmart de 671 Southpark Blvd. y se le acercó a dos empleados de la sección Tire and Lube del almacén. El sospechoso gesticuló como si tuviera un arma y exigió que ellos le pasaran dos radios de comunicación y celulares, después procedió a tomar el efectivo del almacén. El salió en una camioneta Chevrolet roja, de modelo nuevo. Mientras el sospechoso salía del parqueadero colisionó con un carrito de compras por lo que debe tener algún daño en el lado del pasajero.

Septiembre 17. 2010 (Crimen de la Semana 1370 -Robo en Kroger)

El programa Crime Solvers del Condado de Chesterfield/Colonial Heights necesita su ayuda para identificar a dos hombres quienes robaron el kiosco de gasolina Kroger ubicado en 2801 Hicks Road el miércoles 18 de agosto.

Entre las 9:45 y 10 p.m. dos sospechosos entraron a la oficina del kiosco mientras la dependiente estaba ocupada con una venta afuera. Cuando la dependiente regresó, los sospechosos la retuvieron, desplegaron un arma y robaron el dinero de la caja registradora. Los sospechosos salieron hacia una casa abandonada en la esquina de Hicks Road y la Ruta 360 donde los detectives creen había un carro esperando por ellos.

El sospechoso quien tuvo a la dependiente a punta de pistola es un hombre negro, 42-49 años de edad. Tenía bigote, sin afeitar y vestía una gorra azul con el logo de baloncesto de  Denver Nugget. El segundo sospechoso era un poco más delgado, 32-39 años de edad. También tenía bigote, barba de chivo y vestía una sudadera oscura de Gold’s Gym con letra amarilla en el frente y una gorra oscura con un pequeño logo rojo.

May 11, 2012 (COW 1456 - Farooq Anwar Homicide)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to catch the person or people who shot and killed store owner Farooq Anwar at his Fast and Friendly convenience store at 6249 Jefferson Davis Highway on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.

 A customer discovered Anwar’s body at about 11:30 p.m. and dialed 911. Investigators believe robbery may have been the motive.

 This case was featured as a Crime of the Week case on May 1, 2009. Anwar’s family and friends continue to maintain contact with investigators, and are still offering an additional reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for this crime.

May 4, 2012 (COW 1455 - Vehicle Vandalisms/Pearson Hyundai)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve an unusual vandalism.

On April 24, a service manager of Pearson Hyundai was walking the car lot and discovered approximately 12 vehicles with damage to the roofs and hoods.  The damage seemed to indicate someone had jumped or walked on the vehicles.  Additionally, some cars were found scratched. The total damage amount has exceeded $33,000.

April 27, 2012 (COW 1454 - YMCA Locker thefts)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a suspect involved in two YMCA thefts.

On Wednesday, Feb. 29, around 3 p.m., an employee of the YMCA at 737 Coalfield Road put his belongings into a locker and went to work.  Unfortunately, he forgot to secure the locker, and when he went to retrieve his wallet around 5 p.m., it was not there.  When he called his credit card companies to cancel his cards, he learned that they had already been used at the Food Lion in the Village Marketplace shopping center, the Martin's in the Sycamore Square shopping center and the Chick-Fil-A in Chesterfield Towne Center.  Those purchases totaled more than $600.

Investigators learned that later the same day the same suspect also stole from a gym patron at the YMCA at 7540 Hull Street Road.  In that case, the victim put items in an unlocked locker.  The victim's wallet and keys were stolen, and the victim's car was rummaged through and stolen from.

The suspect is a white male, 19-25 years of age, with short, brown hair.  He wore denim jeans, a red T-shirt and a black coat with white lining.

April 20, 2012 (COW 1453 - Robbery at Sun Tan City)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify an armed robber.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. on Monday, April 9, a man wearing a grey stocking cap over his head and face approached the clerk of Sun Tan City at 11417 Midlothian Turnpike.  He pointed a dark-colored handgun at the clerk and several customers and demanded that they put their money into a bag he was carrying. He fled toward a nearby Burger King. 

The suspect is a black male, 20-29 years of age, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build.  He was wearing dark clothing with tan-colored, Timberland-type boots.

April 6, 2012 (COW 1451- Stolen Dirt Bikes)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a breaking and entering and grand larceny suspect.

On Friday, March 30, between 12 a.m. and 6:50 a.m., a garage in the 13600 block of Woods Edge Road was broken into. The suspect, or suspects, cut open a lock on a door, gained entry to the garage and managed to steal several dirt bikes, which are worth thousands of dollars.

The dirt bike descriptions are as follows:

March 30, 2012 (COW 1450 - Coin Machine break-ins)

On Sunday, Feb. 12, a man was captured on security cameras breaking into several coin operated vending machines at Sheraton Park South, 9901 Midlothian Turnpike. The suspect was a white male in his late 20s or early 30s; he had a shaved head.

Then, on Thursday, Feb. 23, a different male suspect was caught on camera breaking into coin operated machines at the Holiday Inn-Koger Center, 1021 Koger Center Boulevard. He was a white male in his 20s. He had a thin build and was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a white graphic on the front, a dark-colored ball cap turned backwards, light-colored pants and black shoes.

March 23, 2012 (COW 1449 - Turbo Tax Grand Larceny)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a group of people who stole a total of 78 copies of Turbo Tax Software.

On Sunday, March 11, at about 1 p.m., two black females and one black male entered the Sam's Club at 901 Walmart Way. Video surveillance shows two of the suspects emptying the display area of Turbo Tax Software into a shopping cart. One of the females is later seen placing all of the Turbo Tax Software into a large duffel bag while standing in one of the aisles. At a later time, the same female is seen leaving with the duffel bag over her right shoulder, and heading into the parking lot. A short time later, the other suspects leave the store, and all are believed to have gotten into a light blue Ford Taurus. Based on information from Sam's Club supervision, it is believed the same suspects committed the same type of crime at the Sam's Club on Broad Street in Henrico County.

March 16, 2012 (COW 1448 - Credit Card Fraud/Colonial Heights Walmart)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a female suspect who used a stolen credit card.

In the afternoon hours of Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, a female customer approached a register at Walmart, 671 Southpark Boulevard. She purchased a Kindle Fire electronic reader and a pre-paid cell phone on a credit card. The woman then tried to make a second purchase of two additional Kindles, but that transaction was denied. Later, the store learned that the credit card had been stolen from a male victim in Dinwiddie County.

Surveillance cameras not only captured images of the black female suspect, but showed the suspect with three young children. She appeared to be in her 30s, and she was wearing dark-colored pants, a black, long-sleeved shirt and a blue ball cap

March 9, 2012 (COW 1447 - Arson)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve an arson series in which approximately 15 fires have been set in the Walton Park subdivision between Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, and Saturday, March 3, 2012.

The fires have been started in various areas throughout the subdivision. Eleven fires have been started within the 400 block of Walton Park Road. The fires are being started in the roadway or adjacent to the roadway. Many different materials, such as clothes, paper, newspapers and trash, have been used to sustain the fires.

March 2, 2012 (COW 1446 - Marshall's Shoplifting/assault)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a shoplifter who made his situation much worse.

On Thursday, Feb. 2, at about 4:25 p.m., two black males entered Marshall's, 4020 Meadowdale Blvd. One wore a gray hoodie, and the other wore a red jacket. The store’s loss-prevention officer saw the suspect in the gray hoodie place a polo shirt into his pants. As that suspect walked toward the store's exit, the loss-prevention officer confronted the suspect and attempted to stop him. The suspect struggled with the loss-prevention officer, and eventually punched the officer in the face and ran from the store. He and the suspect with the red jacket (who can ALSO be seen in the picture) were seen leaving the parking lot in a white Ford Taurus.

Feb. 24, 2012 (COW 1445 - Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the suspect who robbed a Little Caesars Pizza manager who was attempting to make a deposit at a local bank. During the robbery, a black male approached the manager, stripped the deposit bag from the manager's hands and ran to a waiting vehicle.

The robbery occurred outside the SunTrust Bank branch located within the Kroger grocery store at 2801 Hicks Road on Saturday, Feb. 11, at about 9:40 a.m. The suspect in this robbery is described as wearing a black hat, half mask and black jacket, as well as Nike tennis shoes. The suspect was a black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 155 pounds. The suspect was believed to have gotten into a silver or gray four-door Toyota Camry or Honda Accord.

Feb. 17, 2012 (COW 1444 - VISA gift card fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a female suspect who defrauded a women's clothing store in Colonial Heights.

On Thursday, Feb. 2, three females entered the Upstairs store in Southpark Mall together just prior to 6 p.m. One of the females brought approximately $460 worth of clothing items to the register and handed the clerk a VISA gift card. As the clerk swiped the card, it appeared to be an approved transaction, but the card reader went offline. Being suspicious of the machine's actions, the clerk later contacted the bank listed on the card, and the bank explained that the transaction would be denied once the reader came back online.

Feb. 10, 2012 (COW 1443 - BB&T Bank Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the suspect who police believe committed a robbery and an attempted robbery in southern Chesterfield County. In each crime, a white male entered the BB&T bank branch at 5756 Hopkins Road, immediately approached a clerk and passed a note demanding money.

The first incident, in which the suspect robbed the bank of cash, occurred on Monday, Jan. 23, at about 12:21 p.m. The attempted robbery occurred on Monday, Jan. 30, at about 12:44 p.m. During this incident, no cash was taken by the suspect. The suspect in both incidents is described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, 180 pounds, 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a blue knit hat and sunglasses.

Feb. 3, 2012 (COW 1442 - Stolen Inspection Stickers)

Since Jan. 3, 2012, Virginia inspection stickers have been stolen from two locations on Jefferson Davis Highway. The first incident occurred at Elders Garage at 14900 Jefferson Davis Highway. From that shop, books of rejection stickers and motorcycle inspection stickers were stolen. The second theft occurred at Garland's Auto Repair, 7207 Jefferson Davis Highway; basic vehicle inspection sticker books were taken from that location.

Law enforcement officials want to warn citizens that knowingly accepting a stolen inspection sticker is not a simple traffic offense; it is a crime.

Jan. 27, 2012 (COW - Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the suspect who robbed a nail salon in Northern Chesterfield County. During the robbery, a black male entered the shop and immediately approached employees, displayed a firearm and took cash.

The robbery occurred at Royal Nails in the 10000 block of Robious Road on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at about 8:10 p.m. The suspect in this robbery is described as wearing a black hooded jacket, grey sweatpants and a ski mask, and having a medium-brown skin complexion. The suspect was 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed approximately 120 pounds.

Jan. 20, 2012 (COW 1440 - Break-in/Credit Card Fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a case involving a home break-in and credit card fraud.

Between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, someone broke into a home on Duckridge Terrace in Chesterfield County. Once inside, the suspect or suspects stole a Dell laptop computer and a purse containing cash and credit cards. Within a very short time, the victim's stolen L.L. Bean credit card was used to make more than $800 in purchases, including a $187 fuel purchase from a local Wawa. An attempted purchase was made at Shoe City in Southside Plaza, but the transaction was declined.

Jan. 12, 2012 (COW 1349 - Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find two men who robbed the Golden Corral at 11 S. Providence Road on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at about 11:30 p.m.

The suspects approached a group of employees in the parking lot outside the Golden Corral and forced a manager and other employees into the building and into a back office. One suspect ordered the manager at gunpoint to open a safe. After the manager was unable to open the safe, the suspects took some money that was not secured in the safe. The suspects were last seen running toward the Providence Green Subdivision. The witnesses described both suspects as masked black males, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing gloves and dark clothing and armed with handguns.

Jan. 6, 2012 (COW 1348 - Crash in Chesterfield)

The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a crash that occurred on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, and police have asked the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program for assistance.

Between 8:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the victim's truck was being tailgated on Old Bermuda Hundred Road as it traveled east. As the vehicles approached Lawing Drive, the tailgating vehicle passed the victim's vehicle. By doing so, the passing vehicle crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic. In order to avoid a potentially fatal crash, the victim veered off of the roadway and struck a tree. The victim and one passenger were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Both are now recovering from those injuries.

Dec. 30, 2011 (COW 1437 - Shooting into Occupied Dwelling)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a shooting suspect.

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, at approximately 11:50 p.m., someone fired a shot into a home on Cameron Avenue in Chesterfield County while the residents were asleep. The residents quickly discovered that a shotgun blast had been fired into the front of the house, shattering a front window and leaving pellet holes throughout the interior. Thankfully, no one was struck and the police were immediately called. Detectives are working on leads, but are asking for the public's help.

Dec. 9, 2011 (COW 1434 - Thefts from YMCA Lockers)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a person who stole credit cards from a local YMCA.

On Thursday, Nov. 17, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a male suspect broke into at least two lockers at the Manchester YMCA, located at 7500 Hull Street Road. The thief stole cash and credit cards from two victims, and both victims learned of the theft when their credit companies contacted them to ask about suspicious charges.

The same suspect used the stolen cards at Walmart, 12200 Chattanooga Plaza, and Food Lion, 15702 Jeff Davis Highway. He is a black male between 20-30 years of age, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 280-300 pounds, with short black hair and light facial hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with the word "Giants" printed on it. He was seen driving away in a white pickup truck.

Dec. 2, 2011 (COW 1433 - Vandalisms at Schools)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate suspects involved with vandalisms at two local schools.

Between the evening of Thursday, Nov. 10, and the morning of Friday, Nov. 11, someone vandalized two classroom trailers and a drivers education vehicle at Thomas Dale High School, 3626 W. Hundred Road. The vandals broke several windows out on the classroom trailers and caused extensive damage to the drivers education vehicle by breaking out several of the windows, removing parts and damaging the exterior of the vehicle. Later, the vandals went to Curtis Elementary School, 3600 W. Hundred Road, and damaged several buses parked at the school. Together, the vandalisms at the two schools are estimated to have caused several thousands of dollars in damages.

Nov. 23, 2011 (COW 1432 - Shooting, Ramblewood Drive)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the person who shot into a local home.

The shooting took place in the 14700 block of Ramblewood Drive on Saturday, Oct. 22, at about 2:20 a.m. At the time of the shooting, the homeowner heard the noise of the shot, but thought it may have been something falling in the house. However, later in the morning, the homeowners found their window to be broken by a single bullet. The bullet broke through the window and struck a headboard in the guest bedroom. In this shooting, no one was injured. At this time, it is suspected the single gunshot round came from the area of the intersection of Ramblewood Drive and Enon Church Road.

Nov. 18, 2011 (COW 1431 - Grahamwood Drive Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the men who robbed a victim in the 3100 block of Grahamwood Drive on Saturday, Nov. 12, at about 3 a.m.

Two suspects approached the victim and asked for driving directions. As the victim provided directions, the suspects grabbed the victim and forced him to the ground at gunpoint. While on the ground, the victim was searched and robbed of his wallet, cell phone and MP3 player. After the robbery, the suspects were seen leaving in a four-door sedan, possibly a Ford Focus that was a gold metallic color. A third male was seen driving the vehicle. The witness described the suspects as black males in their late teens to early 20s. Shortly after the robbery, the suspects were captured on video using the victim's credit card at the Wawa and Walmart in the area of Forest Hill Avenue in the City of Richmond.

Nov. 11, 2011 (COW 1430 - Gift Card Fraud, KMart/Sears)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify two gift-card fraud suspects.

On Monday, Sept. 19, a black female went into the Kmart on Southgate Square in Colonial Heights. She asked a clerk to look up a Sears credit account by Social Security number, then proceeded to purchase more than $3,700 worth of Kmart gift cards on that account. Later that day, a white male asked a Sears clerk to exchange the Kmart gift cards for Sears gift cards, but the transaction never took place. Shortly after the white male left, however, a black male suspect was successful in exchanging $2,500 worth of Kmart gift cards for $2,500 in Sears cards.

The managers at Sears and Kmart discovered what had happened and canceled all of the Sears and Kmart gift cards. The female victim, living in Kansas, was unaware her Social Security number was used until she was contacted by the investigating detective. Kansas authorities are working with the Colonial Heights detective on the identity theft case.

Nov. 4, 2011 (COW 1429 - Ring Theft from Reeds Jewelers)

On Wednesday, Sept. 28, at about 6:55 p.m., a male suspect entered the Reeds Jewelers at Chesterfield Towne Center and stole a ring. The suspect entered the store, approached a salesperson and asked to see an engagement ring. Once the salesperson presented the ring, the suspect took the ring, turned and ran out of the store. The ring's value is estimated at several thousand dollars.

The suspect is a black male, possibly between 30 and 35 years old. He wore dark blue medical scrubs with a burgundy T-shirt underneath. He had a light mustache and a lazy left eye. A witness may have seen the suspect enter a white Nissan Maxima or Altima with yellow New York State license plates.

Oct. 28, 2011 (COW 1428 - Vandalism of St. Michael's School)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate suspects involved with the vandalism of a local school.

Between the evening of Friday, Oct. 7, and the morning of Saturday, Oct. 8, someone broke into St. Michael's School, 8706 Quaker Lane. While inside, the suspect, or suspects, ransacked several areas of the school. Spray paint cans were taken from a storage area and used to paint drug-related pictures and statements all over the interior and playground areas of the school. Desks were turned over, paperwork was strewn all over the floor, sporting equipment was also scattered throughout the gymnasium, glass display cases were broken out and fluorescent bulbs were smashed.

Oct. 21, 2011 (Crime of the Week 1427 - Two South Chesterfield Robberies)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the suspects who police believe committed two robberies in southern Chesterfield County. In each robbery, black males entered the store and immediately approached the clerk, displayed firearms and robbed the store of cash.

 The first robbery occurred at Dyson's Store on River Road on Friday, Sept. 16, at about 7:50 p.m. Also stolen during the Dyson's Store robbery was a small .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun. The second robbery occurred at Market Place on Harrowgate Road on Saturday, Sept. 17, at about 10:40 p.m.

Oct. 14, 2011 (Crime of the Week 1426 - Theft from BB&T ATM)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate suspects involved in an ATM theft.

During the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 8, Chesterfield officers responded to an alarm call at the BB&T Bank located at 5756 Hopkins Road. When officers arrived, they quickly discovered that someone had ripped the front panel from the ATM and taken money from inside.

There were at least two people involved in the theft. One suspect is described as wearing dark clothing, a dark mask and a dark-colored baseball hat. The van used in the crime was stolen, and the thieves abandoned the van shortly after the theft.

Oct. 7, 2011 (COW 1425 - Suspicious Death)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a case involving the suspicious death of a Hopewell man. On Saturday, July 30, 2011, at about 5:46 p.m., a report of a suspicious package in the wood line in the 2100 block of Point of Rocks Road was called in to police.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a man. The man was later identified as Sean Bland, of the 400 block of N. Tenth Ave., Hopewell. Mr. Bland was 25 years old at the time of his death. He was found wearing a gray T-shirt, cut-off Dickies and white Reebok tennis shoes. The body of Mr. Bland was found wrapped in bed linens.

Sept. 30, 2011 (COW 1424 - Lottery Ticket Theft)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate two lottery ticket thieves.

During the early hours of Saturday, Aug. 27, someone used a large rock to smash the front glass door of Jefferson Express Service Station, 16638 Jefferson Davis Highway. Two black male suspects then entered the store and grabbed a plastic display holding numerous Virginia Lottery tickets. Both suspects appeared to be in their 20s. One wore a black and grey polo-style shirt and a dark ball cap. The other had a shaved head, wore dark clothing and had a white bandana covering his face.

The next day, one of the men was seen at Sheetz, 7035 West Broad Street, cashing some of the lottery tickets.

Sept. 23, 2011 (COW 1423 - Cloverleaf Mall Double Homicide )

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a cold case double homicide suspect.

 On Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996, Charlita Singleton and Cheryl Edwards were working at the All For One store at Cloverleaf Mall. The next day, Charlita's family contacted police when she did not return home from work. Police discovered the bodies of both women inside the store's office.   

 At the time of the murders, both women had small children. These children have had to grow up without their mothers. These families need answers. Please help them by helping police to solve these murders and bring those responsible to justice.

Sept. 16, 2011 (COW 1422 - Credit Card Fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to catch a credit card fraud suspect.

 On Thursday, Aug. 11, a man used a stolen credit card to purchase clothing from Macy's at Southpark Mall in Colonial Heights. The same suspect tried to use the card to purchase electronics from the Walmart in Colonial Heights, but the purchase was declined because the card had been canceled. It was determined that multiple cards were stolen from vehicles in Hopewell and Petersburg that same day.

 The suspect was described as a black male. In both cases, the suspect wore black shoes with white socks and a white and blue ball cap bearing the New Orleans Saints logo.

September 9, 2011 (COW 1421 - Breaking and Entering)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a breaking and entering suspect.

On Wednesday, July 27, between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., a home in the 4400 block of Oxbridge Road was broken into. The suspect pried open a side door to gain entry to the home, and managed to steal several thousands of dollars of jewelry from the residence. A "nanny cam" captured video of the suspect committing the crime.

The suspect is a white male, possibly between 30 and 35 years old. He wore a polo-style shirt with a company logo on the right breast, long pants, a messenger-style bag and a work-style lanyard around his neck.

September 2, 2011 (COW 1420 - Robbery at Mike's Auto)

On Saturday, June 25, at about noon, a woman was inside Mike's Auto, 100 Turner Road, sitting near the back door. She saw a person looking at cars, but that person soon after came into the business wearing a mask on his face and demanded money from the store's safe. The suspect got angry when he learned there was no money at the business; he struck the victim at least twice in the head with the butt of a handgun and forced the victim into a bathroom. Before leaving, he stole the victim's cell phone and the phone belonging to Mike's Auto. He left using the back door and headed in an unknown direction.

 The suspect was described as a young black male, possibly between 12 and 16 years old. He was approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 110 pounds with a pointed chin. He wore a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a floppy-brimmed hat, gloves and a ski mask.

August 26, 2011 (COW 1419 - Pick Pocket/Credit Card Fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the people responsible for stealing credit cards from victims at local movie theaters in Midlothian. The credit cards were used later to make purchases at Old Navy, Target, Best Buy and various restaurants in Chesterfield. The crimes took place Sunday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 14.

In these cases, thousands of dollars were charged to the victims’ credit cards. The suspects are described as two black females. The suspects were photographed by security cameras making the purchases at a Target store.

August 19, 2011 (COW 1418 - Wallet Theft at Sheetz)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a wallet thief.

 On Wednesday, June 22, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a female customer dropped her wallet near a fuel pump at Sheetz, 2053 Huguenot Road in Chesterfield. A nearby male customer picked it up, but, instead of returning it to her, he took the wallet and put it into his car. Video surveillance footage then shows him taking something out of the wallet while at the pump. He walked inside the store, paid for his gas with cash, likely taken from the wallet, and left the area in his car.

 The suspect is a black male in his late 40s or early 50s, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin mustache and beard. He was wearing a grey T-shirt, denim jeans, sunglasses with brown lenses and a blue ball cap with gold lettering. He was driving a white 4-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry.

August 12, 2011 (COW 1417 - Debit Card Fraud/Walmart)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a man who used a stolen bank card.

 On Nov. 10, 2010, a man used a bank card to purchase a $400 PlayStation gaming system from the Walmart at 12000 Iron Bridge Road in Chester. Unfortunately, the card he was using was not his own. The victim, who had lost her card on Nov. 10, discovered the fraudulent charge two days later when she reported her card as missing to her bank.

 The man seen using the card was a black male, possibly in his 20s. He had a neatly trimmed goatee, and was wearing a dark ball cap and a dark, argyle-pattern sweater.

August 5, 2011 (COW 1416 - Ettrick Supermarket Shooting)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is asking for your help to solve a shooting that occurred in 1991.

On Oct. 4, 1991, Walter H. Eley was locking up the former Ettrick Supermarket at 3615 E. River Road in Chesterfield at approximately 10 p.m.  As he walked to his car with the store's deposit bag, a white or cream colored Cadillac pulled into the lot and blocked his car.  A man got out of the passenger side, approached Eley and demanded the money.  The suspect shot Eley three times with a small-caliber handgun and fled the scene.  Thankfully, Eley survived the wounds.

 The suspect was a heavyset black male, 20-30 years old.

July 22, 2011 (COW 1414 - Homicide of James Mosley)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the people responsible for shooting and killing a man in the 3900 block of Bridget Court on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at about 11:40 p.m.

 Officers were called for shots being fired in the area. While checking the area, officers found James Patrick Mosley in the parking lot of his townhouse. Mosley had been shot several times. Officers and rescue personnel attempted to resuscitate Mosley, but were unsuccessful. Witnesses described seeing a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt in the area at the time of the shooting. A dark-colored vehicle was also seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly after the shooting.

July 8, 2011 (COW 1412 - Theft at Uriel Trucking)

A truck driver stole from another truck driver in Chesterfield County, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to identify him.

 On June 13, at about 6:40 p.m., the driver of a light-colored Freightliner truck parked a trailer on the lot of Uriel Trucking, 5436 Jefferson Davis Highway, and then left the lot. The truck returned just prior to 10 p.m. and the driver reconnected the trailer to the truck. Security footage showed the subject look into the office, then attempt to gain entry into another truck that was parked on the lot. He then approached a second truck, gained entry and stole CB radio equipment. The suspect's truck left the lot several minutes after 10 p.m.

 The suspect was a black male who appeared to be wearing light-colored clothes. The truck he was driving had no company logos on the truck or the trailer.

June 24, 2011 (COW 1410 - Marlboro Cigarette Theft from WaWa)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to catch a thief.

 On Sunday, Dec. 26, at approximately 7:40 p.m., a box containing 22 cartons of Marlboro cigarettes was stolen from the Wawa at 3850 North Bailey Bridge Road in Chesterfield County. The male suspect parked his minivan at a fuel pump and walked into the store without pumping fuel. He walked into the store's office, where the box of cigarettes was sitting. He quickly carried the box out to his vehicle, dropping cartons as he left, and drove away, heading east on Hull Street Road.

 The suspect is a dark-complexioned black male, 35-40 years old. He wore a bright yellow, polo-style, short-sleeve shirt with a long-sleeve black shirt underneath and a black stocking cap on his head. The vehicle he was driving was a newer-model, silver Ford minivan.

June 10, 2011 (COW 1408 - BB&T Branch Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to identify a bank robbery suspect.

 On Friday, May 27, at approximately 4 p.m., a man waited in line at the BB&T bank branch located at 1366 Sycamore Square Drive. As he was called to the teller counter, he handed the clerk a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. The clerk gave the robber cash, and the suspect walked calmly out of the bank in an unknown direction.

 The suspect was a white, possibly latino, male, 25-30 years old, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had short black hair, brown eyes and a light beard. He wore a purple shirt, cargo-style shorts and a two-tone brown ball cap.

May 27, 2011 (COW 1406 - AT&T Shoplifting)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to solve a shoplifting case.

On Monday, March 28, two male suspects worked together to steal two iPhone 4 phones from the AT&T store at 721-a Southpark Boulevard. One suspect loosened the security restraints from the phones as they sat on a display, and the second followed behind and removed the phones from the display, leaving the security tethers behind. The phones were valued at more than $1,000.

The first suspect was a heavyset black male, 18-25 years old, wearing a black and white striped polo shirt, blue jeans and a black ball cap with a gold design on the front. The second was also a black male, 18-25 years old. He had a close-cut hair style and wore black pants, a black jacket and a black T-shirt with a bright pink design on the front.

May 20, 2011 (COW 1405 - Buffalo Wild Wings Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find two men who robbed the Buffalo Wild Wings at 12056 Southshore Pointe Road on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at about 9:10 a.m.

The suspects entered the business through an unlocked door and forced a manager and other employees into a back office. One suspect forced the manager to open a safe at gun point, and after the suspects received the money they locked all of the employees in a freezer. The witnesses described the first suspect as a masked black male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 210 pounds. The second suspect is described as a masked black male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 210 pounds.

May 13, 2011 (COW 1404 - Roadrunner Store Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to solve an armed robbery.

On Sunday, Feb. 27, at approximately 8:50 a.m., a white male walked into the Roadrunner Convenience Store with his face covered. He was holding a silver or chrome handgun while he demanded the store's money. The suspect ran away toward the Colbrook Motel after obtaining cash, several packs of Newport cigarettes and two glass pipes.

The suspect is a white male between 18 and 25 years of age. He was described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds and having blue eyes and brown, medium-length hair. He wore a brown jumpsuit, orange gloves, a blue, knit cap and a blue bandana, which covered his face.

May 6, 2011 (Crime of the Week 1403 - Wachovia Bank Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the person who robbed the Wachovia Bank at 7202 Midlothian Turnpike on Monday, April 18.

 The suspect entered the bank at about 2 p.m. and presented the teller with a note demanding money. After the suspect received the money from the teller, he fled on foot toward the City of Richmond. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30s to mid 40s, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a slim build. The suspect was photographed during the incident wearing a gray sweatshirt with dark colored pants, a ball cap and sunglasses.

April 15, 2011 (COW 1400 - Debit card theft from Uno's)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a woman involved in a debit card fraud.

 On Feb. 14, the victim was dining at the Uno's restaurant in Prince George and left her purse in her car.  While she was in the restaurant, someone stole her purse.  At approximately 8:17 p.m., someone used her card to withdraw cash from the ATM at Virginia Credit Union on Temple Lake Drive in Colonial Heights.

Video surveillance attached to the ATM recorded images of a female suspect using the card.  She is a black female, and she wore a heavy coat with a fur-lined hood and eyeglasses.

April 8, 2011 (COW 1399 - Identity Theft)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve an identity theft case in which withdrawals were made fraudulently to a victims account on Friday, March 18, 2011. 

The suspect managed to withdraw several thousands of dollars from the victims account on three separate occasions.  The suspect in the case is presenting false documentation, assuming the identity of the victim in this crime.  One of the transactions occurred at the Bank of America located at 2601 Buford Road, and two other transactions occurred at Bank of America branches in Henrico County.  The suspect was photographed by security cameras while making the transactions. The suspect appears to be a middle-aged male and may be Caucasian or Hispanic.

March 25, 2011 (COW 1397 - Credit Card Fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a theft in which credit cards were stolen from a victim on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011.

 The suspect managed to steal the victim's credit cards, and then used the stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases throughout Chesterfield. Several thousand dollars in purchases were made to the victim’s cards. The suspect was photographed by security cameras making a transaction at the HH Gregg located at 1321 Huguenot Road.  Fraudulent purchases were also made at the Best Buy, and Outback Steakhouse near Huguenot Road.  The suspect appears to be a middle-aged black female.

Feruary 11, 2011 (COW 1391 - Homicide)

January 28, 2011 (COW 1389 - Credit Card Fraud)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve two separate thefts in which credit cards were stolen from victims at Johnston Willis Hospital on Tuesday, Sep. 28, 2010 and Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. 

 The suspect managed to gain entry into two separate employees’ offices and stole their wallets from their purses, and then used the stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases throughout Chesterfield and the City of Richmond. Several thousand dollars in purchases and withdrawals were made to the victims’ cards. The suspect was photographed by security cameras making a transaction at the Target located at 11301 Midlothian Turnpike. The suspect appears to be a middle-aged male and may be Caucasian or Hispanic.

Dec. 30, 2010 (COW 1385 - Credit Card Fraud/Cracker Barrel and Panera Bread) 

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the people responsible for stealing credit cards from a victim at the Cracker Barrel in Chester and a victim at Panera Bread in Colonial Heights. The credit cards were used later to make purchases at the Target and Best Buy stores in Colonial Heights. The crimes took place on Saturday, Nov. 6.

 In these cases, thousands of dollars were charged to the victims’ credit cards. The suspects are described as two black males and one black female. The suspects were photographed by security cameras making the purchases.  

December 3, 2010 (COW 1381 - Theft from American Family Fitness Center)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find the person responsible for stealing cash and credit cards from a vehicle at the American Family Fitness Center at 501 East Roslyn Road, and later using the credit cards to make purchases at the Wal-Mart in Colonial Heights.  The crimes took place on Wednesday, Nov. 10, between 1 and 2:45 p.m.

 In this case, hundreds of dollars in merchandise were charged to the victims credit cards.  The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s.  The suspect was photographed by security cameras wearing a knit hat, glasses, and a hooded, dark-colored sweatshirt with writing on the front of it.

November 19, 2010 (COW 1379 - James Mart Robbery)

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and find a man who robbed the James Mart at 14103 Harrowgate Road on Saturday, Sept. 4, at about 9:30 p.m.

 The suspect approached an employee, demanded money at gunpoint and then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male, wearing dark clothing with a camouflaged styled hunting mask. The suspect also wore a dark-colored hat with a “Y” on it and was also seen carrying a black and red backpack.

November 12, 2010 (COW 1378 - Identity Theft & ID Fraud)

This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs help to identify a woman who used counterfeit checks and stolen identities.

 A woman presented checks to three different banks in Chesterfield County, all written to the last name of Massie. One bank clerk recognized the account and knew the account holder personally. She contacted the account holder and discovered that the checks were fraudulent.  Before the account was closed, thousands of dollars worth of checks had been cashed.  Investigators located the Massie subject, whose identification was presented during the transactions, and realized that she and a second woman were victims of identity theft.

 The suspect was a black female, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a dark complexion and long braided hair.

October 29, 2010 (COW 1376 - Credit Card Fraud/CVS)

This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs help to identify two men who used a stolen credit card.

A clerk for the CVS store at 10100 Robious Road contacted police after a male suspect attempted to use a credit card to purchase a prepaid VISA gift card. The clerk noticed that the personal information on the card did not match the suspect presenting the card, and the transaction was declined. Unfortunately, a different store accepted the card in the purchase of two VISA gift cards. 

The suspects were black males in their 20s. The one who presented the stolen card was approximately 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, wearing a black shirt, khaki shorts and a dark Colorado Rockies ball cap. The second male was approximately 6 feet, 5 inches tall, 230 pounds, and wore a light-green shirt and yellow wristband.

September 17, 2010 (COW 1370 - Kroger Gas Kiosk Robbery)

The Chesterfield County / Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs help to identify two men who robbed the Kroger gasoline kiosk, 2801 Hicks Road on Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Between 9:45 and 10 p.m. two suspects entered the kiosk office while the clerk was busy with a vendor outside. When the clerk returned, the suspects restrained her, displayed a gun and stole money from the register. The suspects fled toward an abandoned house at the corner of Hicks Road and Route 360 where detectives believe a car was waiting for them.

The suspect who held the clerk at gunpoint is a black male, 42-49 years old. He had a mustache, appeared unshaven and wore a blue baseball hat with the Denver Nugget’s basketball logo. The second suspect was a thinner black male, 32-39 years old. He had a mustache, goatee, and wore a dark Gold’s Gym sweatshirt with yellow lettering on the front and a dark baseball hat with a small red logo.
